Running your own online tournament with no site affiliations

I've had a quick look around this site for this information, and searched google too but have had no joy in what I am looking for.

I have a lot of non-poker playing friends from around the world who i talk to on a daily basis that want to get a game set up between us all (just for fun, no money involved, (yet )). I am having some trouble convincing them to join X poker site (either because they dont want to give credit card details to the sites which do require that, or would simply just rather not sign up to a poker site at all (there seems to be some stigma to it amongst them which I cant convince them is rubbish)). So I am looking for some software that will let me run my own tournament with the players just connecting to me rather than to a third party poker site.

Anyone know of anything out there that fits the bill?

If you buy the professional version you are able to setup private games and tournaments. I believe the other players only need the less expensive version.

I think the professional version is about $125US and the basic version is available from Amazon for $19.95US.

Just use a Java poker site, no download required. Like Johnny Chan's poker site.
