| The No Limit River is like a natural river...it is neither good nor evil, it simply "is". If you respect it, and don't do anything foolish to put yourself in harm's way of it, you can enjoy its benefits while avoiding its dangers. I do think poker players tend to remember the times the river turned on them and swamped their chips, while giving another player safe passage. But how many of those times did the drowning victim ignore all warnings and blindly dive headfirst into shallow water? |

| When I first started playing I kinda lived and died by the river. Now if I get beat on the river then I promise my opponent got lucky, he caught a card a. he either never should have chased or b. caught a miracle when we were all in. This is why I am stuggling in freerolls because my opponents don't care about when they "should" chase they simply do it and get lucky. It only takes 1 or 2 big hands at the most and you are out of the tourney. |
