I have been tying to evaluate my play in live games by recording the buy-ins for live games that I play and the return brought in from those games. It is very results oriented rather than an analysis of my actual play strategies.
I live in a very rural area of Newfoundland so the games that I play are mostly house games (SNG format - winner take all) or bar tournaments, there are no casinos in Newfoundland. The minimum buy-in that I record is $5 and the maximum I've played live for is a $20 buy-in.
As of January 1, 2008 I have invested $490 in buy-ins and pulled in $1650 in return. Is this a good ratio or should I make sure I wait out the entire year to make sure I'm not just catching a good/bad streak of cards?
