Regarding playing hours on Pokerstars and extemely tight players

Hi,

I'm playing 10NL and I am, I think, a decent player... However I tried my hand at pokerstars (the site where I used to play) and maybe I'm doing something wrong because everyone say it's full of fish... but the only thing I see is table with 10% VPIP and if I play on them, nobody really limps and most of the time if someone call my raise, they won't play unless they have the nuts...

I'm playing between 7-10PM (GMT -5) and also tried this morning from 8-10... same players, most of them are losing players if I check on the tracking sites but still... I can't seem to beat them.

Any idea on what I could be doing wrong ?

Sounds like you're just not very good??? I mean you know they sit around and wait for the nuts right? So you're adjustment should be to not play any big pots with them unless you have the nuts right? So:

Raise preflop
Cbet flop
Giveup without monster if called
Profit

Exactly what Billy said. You've made the determination on the player types there, now you need understand how to exploit their tendencies, or force them to play differently then they feel comfortable with.

Also, I don't think you're sorting tables correctly... just looking really quick right now at 10NL I see two tables with ~65% players to the flop and 17 others with 35+% players to the flop. The fish are everywhere, you are just at an extremely nitty table. Table Selection ftw...

You have to wait to get on a loose table at that level. Most of the players are nut peddlers it is true. Usually they have a few maniac or lag players but they are not smart enough to play the way they should. Normally, it is true, that if someone makes a big bet he has a big hand.
