A question for those who play online

I was playing a tournament online last night and one of the players asked a question that I thought would be a good question to ask here. When you play poker online, do you play with any chips as you are playing?

WOW this is hilarious, i wont be able to get the image of XD and DAVE ruffling chips on a specially made table beside them as they play at paradise later on this evening.

As for me, i smoke WAY too many ciggies when im playing online, like to have a glass or two of vinto tinto as well. But as for playing with chips, i dont even do that in a live game.

Yes. I also get a mouse out and slap it on the table and play with it when I'm playing live.

Yeah, sometimes I have a snack while I'm playing. I myself prefer Doritos...

I have heard of some players who play online who put how many chips they have in the tournament in front of them. I have tried this a couple times, but it hasn't helped me in any way. I think it is supposed to give you a feel of how large your stack is, etc.

It won't magically make you better if that is what you are asking

Never even thought of this. Perhaps playing with chips might help my performance at the Titan freerolls. lol

Someplayers at the table where the player asked this question said yes. It's usually chips left over form a casino they went to.

LMAO...Sorry for the smart-ass comment, but the whole idea of playing online with a chip stack in front of you just seemed so silly to me! I still get a good laugh just thinking about it! I wonder for those that do, if they say out loud, "I'm all-in!" as they push in their stack! Ah, the visual is great on this one!

yeah, i read somewhere that if you have some chips with you that it would make it a more real "live-game" experience and maybe help to slow your play down. i tried it, but all the chips did for me was allow me to have something to throw when i experience the typical online bad beat! lol. i have gotten rid of the chips and just pound my fist on the table!

I practice my chip tricks while I'm playin. The shufffle, pullover etc.... I've never set the amount I have in the game on line though. that would be too hard.

Yes I play with chips and also wear a hat and sunglasses so no can get any tells on me.

Yeah, I'd have to move the ashtray and the coffee cup so I don't think I could handle playing with chips. I'd just throw them around anyway and I suck at chip shuffling anyway. This is some funny shit to picture though...
