| i emailed them out of curiousty i sent this; can you tell me why you have a $ sign on tourny and sng stacks ? these are not dollars they are tourny chips. the value of these chips change as the tourny progresses so why the $ sign ? thanks reply Thank you for contacting PokerStars. Please note that the tournament chips in both Sit&Go tournaments and regular Multi-Table tournaments has had the $ sign in front of them since PokerStars started up. Basically by having a currency sign in front of the chips, it actually gives them some sort of value rather than just being a number. When looking at it from a psychological aspect, it actually makes sense that we do it this way. We decided that giving tournament chips a value have some deeper meaning to it, so that is basically why it is like that. Knowing the difference from when you play a tournament or a ring game (cash game) table is fairly simple though as in the cash games the blinds never raise and the information is available at the top column at all tables. The tournament tables and Sit & Go tables are also labeled, stating on the felt to avoid any confusion. I hope this replied to your question in a proper way. If you should have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again. Thanks for choosing PokerStars and good luck at the tables! (some deeper meaning) ????? my reply just because you have had the $ sign there from the start does not make it correct. they are not dollars they are tournament chips, the tourney stacks should just be a number like on every other poker site i have played. however it is not a big issue, i was just curious. thanks for the quick reply . reply Thank you for your feedback. We are glad we were able to answer your question. We have forwarded your idea about not showing the dollar sign on tournament chip stacks to our Poker Room Management Team for their review. Please keep in mind that we receive thousands of emails containing ideas, suggestions and feedback each month, so unfortunately we cannot respond on the merits of every one. However, we read every single email and give each suggestion careful consideration. We really appreciate the time you have taken to suggest improvements to PokerStars. Many of the features in our software were developed following suggestions received from our players. Please let us know if you have any other ideas or questions, and thanks for playing at PokerStars! Regards, i have been watching pokerstars tables since i sent the email waiting for the $ sign to dissappear from the tourny stacks and hoping they will give me some money for improving there site. am i getting senile ???? |
