PS is a great site, and I love their security group...

I got this a week ago - thought I'd share for anyone who doesn't know how cool PS's security group is - the credit was for just under $25 fwiw. Also fwiw, I had no suspicions of unfair practices at a table that would warrant this.

Hello,

PokerStars has become aware of two players who were in violation of our poker room rules. You were
involved in one or more hands with these players. You have received a credit as a result. To confirm
your credit, log onto your PokerStars account, go to the 'Cashier' screen and click the 'History'
button. Your share will be shown as "Credit Purchase", followed by the amount of the credit.

I regret that we are not at liberty identify the specific games or players in question. Suffice to say
that the players involved have been barred from the site and you will not encounter them again.

Likewise we will not go into detail regarding the method used to calculate your share of the funds
distributed. I can say that it is based on the net amount won using unfair tactics, combined with the
number of hands that you played at a table where unfair play was taking place.

The integrity of the games at PokerStars is of paramount importance to us and we will not abide unfair
play in our games. We work hard to police our games to assure our players of a fair, secure place to
play. In those rare cases where collusion has actually occurred, we make sure that any players affected
are compensated appropriately.

Thank you for your continued play here on PokerStars. Please do not hesitate to let us know any time we
can be of help.

Regards,

James H

Wow, that is really good to hear. They could have just banned the people involved and left it at that. Good to know they try to right the wrong. I'm impressed!

I've gotten this same email before. I think I was credited like $12. PokerStars really is the best site out there.

I got the same same e-mail 6 weeks back.

As you say, Poker Stars seem to be looking after us well, which is very reassuring.

Funny i just ran into foul player at PS, i havent contacted support.. dont know if i should. It was in a low stake limit room. It happened when i was in big blind.. first player to act (Player A) would raise, second player to act (Player B) re-raise, two other players fold, i fold, Player A again re-raises, Player B folds. It happened numerous times. As soon as i questioned the play, Player A immediatly left the room. Does this warrant something where I should question the play and contact support? I dont wanna be a complainer but it just seems very fishy...

If you send them hand histories of suspicious behavior they will look into it (though you should think about how much you have to gain by reporting them).

When I used to MMT DoNs (probably the game where colluding is most profitable), I got around 7-8 admin credits to the tune of ~$50 in just under two months and while not everyone is caught, they definitely do "value the integrity of their games" which makes me want to play at their site more.

You would NEVER get this from Full Tilt...... this is great business, even if they are just covering their ass, actually I think PS may have just won me over! The fact that Ive been running horribly on FT for a month now has very little to do with it.

re: PS is a great site, and I love their security group... poker

Actually FTP is good with their security and IMO fairness.

Someone gained access to my account and wiped it clean through playingg at a table. At first FTP said there was nothing they could do but then to my surprise a few days later my account was back to what it was before the hack took place. FTP does care.

What PS has done in this case of the OP goes above and beyond. I try my best to only play at these two sites.
