PS adds Bot protection

I was just donking around on my favorite NAPL freeroll shootout, and when I won the first table, I had 100 seconds to type the word shown into the chat box. It looks like they implemented something like CAPTCHA.

I curious to see if anyone else has seen this in other shootouts/tourneys?

No, never seen that before. I hope that method won't be implemented. That would virtually eliminate multiple table play. Maybe it's just me but I can't watch the chat window if I am on six or more tables.

Hmm, seems weird though. What about people who don't take notice or the chat, or disable it? Also people who have the "info" tab checked purely to check postion all the time. I do this quite often but now I'm worried that one of these things might pop and ask me to type something. Also, like someone said about people who multi table, this is going to cause problems for them aswell?

It's something that's been about a few years now . As for multi tabling , all you have to do is enter the word on any one of the tables

I have not seen this until I started playing those .10 cent facebook MTT's, maybe they just do it for the big tournaments.

I had to verify once about 2-3 yrs back and nothing since.
If I remember though, it was on a cash table.

I've never had this happen to me on PokerStars or any other site for that matter. Then again I hardly ever take notice of the chat box. It's good that they are doing this, a little security is better than no security.
