Problems with FullTilt poker How to fix

I've had lots of trouble with FullTilt ever sence they added the hand replayer update. I know alot of other have to andnone of FT's instructions seamed to fix it.
Everything from slow lobbys, lag at the tables, to hand replayer not working. Downloads wouldn't stay connected showing an error PROBLEM DECOMPRESING FILE.
Finally gave in to reinstalling FT. But I couldn't stay connected to their sight long enough to get the 40K download. I decided it was my slow dialup, but it wasn't.
I took my puter to my tech. and when we hooked up to his high speed we noticed even google was slow to load. Turns out it was a problem with Internet Explorer.
To fix this issue after removeing all of FT, we reinstalled IE7 and did all windows updates. In my case with XP there is now service pack 3. A biggie I didnt know about.
Anyways, here's how to fix these problems.

1) Close the Full Tilt Poker software as well as any applications that are using Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, or Windows Explorer. Basically anything running you dont need.
2) Open Internet Explorer.
3) In the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options" and then click "Delete Files."
4) When the "Delete Files" window appears, check the "Delete all offline content" box and click "OK." This will remove any unnecessary files that have been automatically stored in your system with previous internet use.
Then

1) Click on "My Computer" and select your main hard drive (usually "C: drive").
2) Select "Program Files" and "Full Tilt Poker."
3) Move the file"[YourPlayerID].xml" outside of the Full Tilt Poker folder as well as any file named "[YourPlayerID.dat]" (if present), then restart your computer
4) Once your computer restarts, uninstall Full Tilt Poker using the Add/Remove programs tool located in Windows Control Panel.
This step will back up all your FT settings and notes. In my case the file was ( Me Tim.xml ) no dat file was present for me.

I made a folder in My documents named FT backup.
Then

1) Click on the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel".
2) Click on "Add or Remove Programs", select "Full Tilt Poker", and click
on "Change/Remove" to uninstall the program.
3) Delete the file called "Fulltiltsetup.exe" from the location you saved
it to when you installed the software.
4) Click on the "Start" menu and select "Run...".
5) In the window that appears, type the following in the text space:
regedit
6) Click "OK".
7) Expand the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder and then the "Software" folder.
Locate the "Full Tilt Poker" folder and delete it.
8) Expand the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder and then the "Software" folder.
Locate the "Full Tilt Poker" folder and delete it.
9) Reboot your computer.

Then reinstall IE7 from microsoft websight. Just google internet explorer.
Then do all other windows updates because some are critical updates and the service pack 3. This wont be needed if you keep up on windows updates. I'm bad about not doing it because of slow dialup.
When done with this reboot.
Then go to FT and redownload their sofware. I also clicked save instead of run and save the exe file to the same FT backup folder I saved my settings file in.
Reboot
After reinstalling FT got to the folder you save you settings file in and right click and copy on that XML file.
Then

1) Click on "My Computer" and select your main hard drive (usually "C: drive").
2) Select "Program Files" and "Full Tilt Poker."
3) Right click and paste the XML file there replacing the the existing one.

Reboot and you should be good to go. The IE7 and windows update made a huge improvement in my over all internet speed
I know this is alot for some people so if you don't have much experencs with this sort of thing you might want to get help with it.
Hope this helps.
Tim
