| problems with BODOG Hi, Yesterday i played (for the first time) a Bodog freeroll. Today i wanted to do the same so i logged in. The system recognized my password but there came a popup that i had to contact bodog security and i could not play poker on the site. So i contacted Bodog security by mail. They replied that i would have to phone Bodog Financial Services. But what has a Financial service to do with it??? I didnt made any deposits to bodog? Maybe they want me to make a deposit and then i can logon (but that would be stupid in my opinion). Maybe i call them later but i want to know if anyone has had the same problem with Bodog????? |

| Hi Poofy, is this a problem common to Vista with the poker rooms? I'm running XP, but this computer is slowly becoming my least favorite computer. And soon I'll have to buy another one. Quote:

| re: problems with BODOG poker Yep Vista issue. I have Vista/Windows defender/ Norton (OMG :eek) which I tend to run mainly in a standard user account. After any new versions are issued at most of the standard poker sites I get a connection problem which varies from one site to another. To solve it I log in as the administrator and run the program. In some cases, the site's software is so dumb that it has to download again and reinstall to work! Not sure of why we need to do this as it's really against what Vista's all about. |

The software makers just did not patch up old versions to a certain point for Vista. So be very careful of older versions of programs and check this out before you buy so that you will be prepared to purchase upgrades to the latest versions if neccessary (because the programs wil not work period). It is just a scam that Microsoft and the software vendors perpetrated on people to pay more for programs already purchased. As it turned out, XP is available (at least on DELL) but the models available (or the extra price they were charging) just did not make sense for my use, so I got a VISTA machine. I have had it up and running for a few weeks now with these poker rooms: PokerTime Doyles PS FTP Carbon Cake Bodog Bugsys UB All of the rooms open up zero problem, except everytime it opens Carbon it makes me take an extra step of clicking ALLOW this program to open Last edited by WEC : 14th January 2009 at 9:25 AM. |
