Problem with Bodog

A few weeks ago I started up bodog but it needed an update so I did it. Ever since then I get an error code 217 saying that it cannot start bodog. It says to check my firewalls that they are allowing bodog, so I completely disabled mine. Then it says make sure you are connected to internet, done...

I tried e-mailing them, they told me to uninstall and reinstall, didnt work. They said since I run vista make sure the time and date are correct, and they are. Then they said to right click the program and run as admin, which I am, and I did but still got the same error.

I called and she couldnt help me so she was going to forward it to the tech guys or whatever and theyre supposed to e-mail me back today, probably with all the same things they told me to do before.

Maybe someone else has seen this problem I googled it and basically got nothing. (for the first time ever).... Any suggestions to try would be appreciated cuz I really wanna play their freeroll cuz I am low on cash, and last time I was this desperate on the 2nd day of playing their freeroll I won it. 120 bucks for free is a good starting bankroll.

I guess when you play out of desparation maybe you're a bit more careful...maybe you should play like that all the time and maybe win it more often

but I had the same problem, re-installed and its fine...clean your computer out

bodog is a horrid site, it should be shut down immediatly. the only time i ever play there is for the CC freeroll and even then i'm miserable when i play. the last game i played, i pushed with 8 5 suited just so i could lose and do something else. if you want my advice, uninstall and keep it that way.

re: Problem with Bodog poker

yea but they have the best freerolls in my opinion. winning 120 bucks and only playing like 1500 people or whatever it only took like 7 hours. im not gonna play pokerstars against 3000 to win into a satellite for a satelliet into a satellite for a freeroll....or even juts the 50 dollar freeroll with a few thousand in.

A few times I had some problem with my account in Bodog, I couldn't enter, but my account number and password were correct I contacted the support, they told me that they fixed it but I still couldn't enter. a few days later I gave a try and it worked that was interesting...

I am not even getting to the point where it lets me put in username and password. Before the main lobby comes up I get the error. Bodog hasnt emailed me back like they said so I guess if they dont reply to my message I just sent soon I will be calling again.

well after a few days of googling i found the problem. when i first got this laptop a few months ago it came with norton internet security, once the trial ran out i uninstalled it. and than i installed a new firewall program, but apparently norton wasnt completely removed. so i found a program to do so and than bodog worked just fine.

Right click on the icon and make switch to run as admin, I had the same problem with vista and mine worked fine after I did that. If you have a problem im me I will try and walk you through it.
