POKERSTARS STAYS!

Dear PokerStars Player,

We received an email from you during the last two weeks inquiring about PokerStars' position with regards to the recently enacted Internet Gambling Act.

PokerStars has received extensive expert advice from within and outside the U.S. which concluded that these provisions do not alter the U.S. legal situation with respect to online poker. Furthermore it is important to emphasize that the Act does not in any way prohibit you from playing online poker.

Therefore, our business continues as before - open to players worldwide including the US. You may play on our site as you did prior to the Act.

PokerStars believes that poker is a game of skill enjoyed by millions of players and we remain committed to providing you a safe and fun environment in which to play. We value your loyalty to PokerStars, and look forward to continuing to serve you with the best online poker experience, as we have for the past five years, six billion hands, and 40 million tournaments.

PokerStars Management

PokerStarsPokerStars is one of the best poker sites on the internet. They accept US players and using PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT you get a $75 bonus.

PartyParty Poker is probably the best known online poker room. Use the Party Poker bonus code CC150 for a 30% upto $150 deposit bonus.

I really couldn't see them backing out so long as having US players is legal...just too much profit to be throwing out the window.

My vote goes to Stars for CC events A+++ support, great game selection, safe as can be - there's just nothing wrong with it aside from infrequent bonuses.

Great news! PokerStars is the site I play on 99% of the time so my vote would go to them as well. As long as Nick can get them to cooperate with events that would rock.

Doubt it.

Stars now looks like surging to the main poker site on the internet by a long way. Well deserved it is the best site currently out there. It still sucks for freerolls though.

Just make sure Jamie Gold isn't at your table hitting every flop.

I bet PartyPoker and the rest are kicking themselves... what are the odds that in a couple of weeks time they'll be realising what idiots they've been and will be changing their minds. Quite likely I think.

Stars seem to have got it right. I'm not a lawyer but there's no way the US or any other country can unilaterally introduce legislation that can be binding on a foreign-based business. You'd have to sign an international treaty to ban this sort of thing.

Now that he won the WSOP, you know he will be endorsing Pokerstars like past winners.

I still don't see why other sites can't figure this out, especially the small ones which will be crippled by the loss of american players. everyone else is just blindly and ignorantly going alone with what they believe the law says. it's nice to see some sites are actually paying attention.

also... woo hoo!

T1riel,

The only reason Moneymaker and Raymer endorse PokerStars is because they qualified for the ME via satellites on Stars.

Makes sense to promote the fact that someone from the on-line community can win a satellite and then the ME.

Hachem only went to the WSOP because his friend won a satellite on Stars and Joe decided to join him.
