Everyone probably got it. I might try to play in it - don't really need to deposit though.

There was a promotion (prize: Peugeot worth about 35000$) in Titan for new depositors this summer. I was able to get in the main tournament via satelite and finished about the 35th place. I wasnt angry but I didnt want to be the 2nd player who got absolutely NOTHING. Thats why I dont like these tournies, only the 1st win big the others lose. :-/

If you win the Porshe, do you get/have enough money to pay for the taxes on it?

I wouldn't worry about it as long as they now have a current email address for you.

This is the email I got- it;s for U.S. and Canadian players:

The exhilaration of playing real money poker is a feeling difficult to match, but taking a sports car from 0-60 mph in well under six seconds does come close. If you’ve never felt this kind of acceleration, you soon could, as we’re giving all US and Canadian PokerStars players the chance to win a brand new Porsche - for FREE!

To be in with a chance of winning one of the world’s most prestigious sports cars, all you need to do is make a real money deposit to PokerStars.com between September 28 and October 17 using the code: WINCAR.

You will then receive a ticket* to play in our ‘Win a Porsche’ tournament on October 18 where the winner will be awarded a Porsche, and the next 99 top finishers will share $30,000!

Learn more about how you could be driving away in a brand new Porsche
here.

See you at the tables,
The PokerStars Team

re: PokerStars Porsche Tournament....

I'd hate to win a car. I'd much rather have the money equivelant.

I mean, a Porsche would be fun for a little bit, but I'd hate to pay for the tax, insurance, and upkeep.

The moment you own the car it's "used" so you can only sell it for about 20% less of the new price, yet you're still paying taxes on the new price.

You don't need to sell it. I just went to the tournament lobby and it says that you can take the car or $50,000 cash.

Also, how many people do you think just withdraw $50 from their account, then put it back and claim the ticket? I might consider it. After all, there are 100 places paid out and the smallest prize is $50.

Porsche's don't even have enough room to fool around in, do they?
I'm over 6'5" tall. I just don't think it'd ever happen unless I could find a contortionist.

I'm going to play in it. If I win for some reason (possible but I don't want to bring my hopes up) I would just sell the car and buy a Honda. My wife and I are done to one car right now so we need another car.
