Pokerstars launches the lady-only league

Poker has been generally male demographic but now the pokerrooms seem to be working the female angle more and more.
Pokerstars has just launched a female-only league that will run until the end of the year with tournament buy-ins from 5$ up.
The top earners players, with the most points at the end of each month and at the end of the year will win cash and PokerStars ladies luxury event packages.
Points can be accumulated playing the two tournaments that run daily, at 13:10 EDT and at 21:10 EDT.

That sounds like fun, I am not sure about those times though, the 21:10 might work if there are not alot of entrants. I will have to try and find some info on this, I don't think I got an email, I will double check.

I just found this event on PS, and I don't see any of you ladies in the event, yet, though you said you were!

I would love to see one of our beauties take this down and show everyone that CC has the best ladies in poker.

Oops.. you are correct. I didn't pay attention to the buy-in price.. just saw the time on it, and thought the OP was talking about that one.

It is not a money added event, but if you do well in the month, you get added money and stuff. It should be fun, I will wing it.

Thanks, everyone! I'm going to play again tonight too. The play last night was interesting--so many different styles. Overall I felt the atmosphere was great; lots of friendly banter going on.

Regarding the League structure overall, I think to rank significantly you'd not only have to play consistently well but also play everyday which would be quite a committment as well as a cost at $5+.50 a pop. Kinda of like a women's Iron Man.

I am going to play tonight, but I will not do it everyday, that would end invasions for me, lol

So where is the all men games at then.....women have been screaming equal right for years, that there just a equal to men, so why do they get there own tournament. I just think it is mess up
