PokerStars has reduced many/most of their Guaranteed Tournaments

I dont have a complete list--but many of the daily Guaranteed Tournaments that Stars runs daily have had their Guaranted Prize Pools reduced in the last couple days.

I just happened to notice the $2.75 $10K reduced to $7500, as well as the 3 5 and 10 rebuys with pretty dramatic reductions. Hopefully, they will move back up after the WSOP and/or these processor problems are hashed out.

$11 40k-25k
3r 50k-40k
5r 50k-40k
10 70k-50k (down from 80k)
11pm 109 40k-25k
Super Tuesday 300k-250k (at one time was 400K)

Yeah I was gonna mention this myself. This, plus simply the fact that it's summer and there's inherently gonna be less people on the site. I don't think it's anything to worry about. As soon as we get round to September/October I'd expect to see the guarantees re-increase.

There's also the current processor issue to consider. A lot of US players who might be entering the bigger guar. games may be cautious now about a way to withdraw without losing their winnings, and won't be registering for the games.

There's 27,000 accounts impounded right now for over 30 million $$. Would be just my luck to play 9+ hours, win ~$112,000 and have it frozen by the US Gooberment. ...

Yea my guess is the main reason for the lowering of the stakes is because of the processing issue since a lot of us players are probably not continue to play while they are unable to get their money out of their account if they hit it big

re: PokerStars has reduced many/most of their Guaranteed Tournaments

Interesting thing....I haven't noticed Full Tilt reducing their guarantees yet. But I certainly could have missed it if they did. I can't remember a time when FTP wasn't behind PS. Holding guarantees is a positive in my mind for Full Tilt. And that doesnt happen too often, although they have improved several things in last 6 months since I took them off my personal recommended list and then put them back on.

Hope they keep moving up and making gains.
