Pokerstars Freerolls?

Just had a question about Pokerstars Freerolls. They are limited to 9,000 spots. So I loaded up Stars and was waiting for it to open, boom it opened I clicked to register and got one confirmation (the NL\Holdem click OKAY), but never got the second saying registration successful. So I clicked register 2 more times and then it said to wait. Long story short it filled up and I never got in even tho it was right when it opened. If I just clicked it once would I had gotten in? That's pretty insane how fast it fills up. Especially considering there are 9,000 spots.

yeah, that is the problem with large sites like pokerstars and full tilt poker; there are just too many people on them to play the freerolls and it is only getting worse. I remember last year full tilt had 2700 man tournaments that took 15 minutes to fill up. Now they only take about 30 seconds.

On the Stars one you have to be ready to hit enter as well. Ie click reg as soon as it appears and hit enter as soon as that box comes to ok it. Seems like you only get in the cue after having clicked okay off that box. First time I joined I spent a second or two reading that box before hitting okay - didn't get a spot. Since then I instantly okay it and can get a spot np.

I got it today easy. Just have to have window open soon as button appears click it and hit return key (to clear the box that pops up) and you're in.

I guess it might be hard if you don't have a great connection or even slower computer.

It sounds like you are trying to enter the Daily 80 Grand freeroll. You have to be poised and ready to hit "Register", then hit the second button (I think it says OK) just as fast. You will usually get a message that you have been placed in a "cue". After about a minute, you will get another message telling you if you got in, or if it was already full. I make it in about 70% of the time. The main thing is to be quick. Literally one second can make the difference.

Yup, that's the one. I'll give it a try again today. I'll try going from the lobby of the tourney and clicking as soon as register pops up. Hopefully, it works! Thanks for the info.

Don't forget to hit enter

You need to hit register super fast, and then hit the OK button as soon as it crops up. Do each only the once!!

I think you sometimes experiience a lag time from the site location to your location. I have had it happen to me many times.

You have to click it IMMEDIATELY when the [register] button pops up.

^^^^^ this, exactly. One second CAN make difference between in or out. I have an excellent cable connection and make it just about every time I try. The few I've missed I also think I might have been a bit laggy on hitting the [register] button.

Never tried from the main lobby, but you might be right. Good idea for coolnout to try.

The last times I've played it I timed the fill-up. It is now less than 20 seconds each time from the time my [register] button appears and the lobby shows 'Registration Closed'.

I had a lot of issues joining these while on dial-up.

I get in no problem with a cable connection tho - but you got to be quick off the mark.

If you're trying to get in with a dial-up, you might want to trade that system in for 2 tin cans and a string. Connects faster. ...

Yes pokerstars and full-tilt fill up pretty fast. Its amazing considering the max people. I know pokerstars have some gd games but its way to many people on that site and full-tilt for me. I prefer to play on medium sites like absolute poker. I have no trouble signing up for there freerolls.
