How do you have 15k fpp's if you don't like playing online for money anymore? I saw your sharkscope, but unless you played a crapload of cash games it doesn't look like you've played enough to have THAT much. lol

Maybe FPP satellites to other satellites? (Buy-in with 40/400 FPP and win 4k)

Stormy I doubt I'll be able to do this seeing as I can't deposit online anymore. Who knows though, I may be able to try one of the other options. I'll definitely try my hardest!

@Vanquish: Doh, I didn't tink of that. lol

you do set the buy-in and the tourney type, date, time etc but the rake will always go to pokerstars. If it didnt man that would be horrible business practice for stars. No one would play their tourneys at all, there would be like millions of player run tourneys a day, horribly -ev for stars.

hmm, i would think that if they set the rake pricing correctly, they could increase profits. for instance, maybe the rake is a very small % higher for these types of games, and that small % goes to the host. that way PokerStars still makes the same amount of $. but then they also get free advertising, cuz people will encourage others to play at PS in that specific tourney. and maybe only a penny/person goes to the host, or something like that, but a small amount. i dunno. just a thought.

would still be horrible business for them, think about it why do that when they can just have their own tourneys. They are doing us a favor by letting us use their facility to hold tourneys not the other way around.

ok lets make a example, say you want to run a tourney but your house is too small, so you contact the local bar that has a room in the back they dont use, do you think they are going to pay you to play in their facility? of course not if anything you will have to pay them. That is what pokerstars is doing we are paying them tourney fee for letting us use their facility. Now if pokerstars was some small site I could see how paying a big forum would be profitable for them because the forum would generate a ton of traffic but a individial would not. BUT pokerstars is the most well known site, they no longer have a traffic problem so them paying us to host our tourney is pretty silly. We are lucky they do not charge us extra to set up tourneys and just charge the normal tourney fees that are associated with any pokerstars tourney.
