I made my first deposit to pokerstars back on 8th May and the bonus is due to expire 7th November. The problem is, due to other committments and having a small break from poker, I haven't played that much at Pokerstars. Just recently I've started playing more regularly and enjoying my poker again and would like to clear this bonus.

At the moment I'm sitting at 281 FPP and need to get up to 500 before 7th Nov. Now to some of you this might be a piece of cake but I struggle for lots of poker time. I'm more of a tournament player and my bankroll dictates I play $5 sngs (3 FPP's) but I can play cash tables (I just need to concentrate more!)

What do you suggest I do? What game would get me my bonus quicker?

Cash games will build your FPP quicker, if you want to assure cashing in on your bonus I'd suggest concentrating on them. Try playing in the back ground of SnG's so you're not totally focussed on it and hopefully you won't start playing 'bored cards'... <- has cost me a lot over the years.

Cash games are the fastest way plain and simple try to either play more of them or multi table if your up to it.

Yes, cash games will do it. At Stars, the pot has to be $8 to get a point for a hand and $20 to get a 2nd point. 10c/25c NL is the minimum I'd recommend and 25c/50c NL would be even better. Good luck.

Open up as many full ring tables as you can. Play premiums hands only and very strongly. At the end yoy will have cleared you bonus and will very likely be up too.

Based on your bankroll and time remaining, I think you have to kiss this bonus goodbye. Better that than to lose what you have trying to play outside of your bankroll.

Decisions decisions!!

I'm going to give the cash tables a go but without going too crazy. See where it takes me in a week then make a decision from there.

Cheers for the advice guys!

Unless you do a HUGE SNG that offers like 200 FPP...I'd try that! :D

also make sure you're at full tables , you want play tight and let the others build your points while you try to stay even . I'm not saying you're not trying to make money , but your goal is the points .

Cash is definatley the way here and if you can find a loose 10 player table as then even though your not in the pot the others will be racking up the points for you.

If comfortable enough with try 2 tables .

Be prepared for a few hours of play but you only have 219 FPPs to get in 3 weeks, equals 73 a week around 10 a day.

Should be close but gl :)

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I managed to do it.

Bizarrely I did it by playing................$1 sng's!!! Lots of them.

I did start off playing cash tables but I just find it too slow and lose concentration. So I thought if I multi-table sng's at low cost I won't have to worry about wasting money or needing to concentrate that hard.

I've seen some crazy play by others and lots of insults about my/someones mum!! I'm going to have a few days off I think! :)
