| re: pokerstars 30,000 player tourney think Im gonna try to make secondary income playing at pokerstars.Im gonna do this by playing sit and gos. Many say you may lose your whole bankroll at ring games with AA and lose on the flop with a guy who has 1010 and hits the other ten on the flop.sit and gos its only a buy in and thats all you lose.does anyone agree with this and also are there many out there at pokerstars making a living playing as a us citizen. |

| No I do not believe it is worth playing that. Your odds are extremely slim of winning that, if you do well, that will be a very nice prize. You will have to avoid tooo many bad beats, tons of rivers and play the best game of your life. The odds are definately against you. |

| Anything less than a $20 buy-in are higher gamble situations. From $20-50 buy-ins the fields are necessarily thinned. With the exception of the Sun Mil, at $215 (lots of folks satty in much cheaper) games over $50 create decent fields with decent players. I always have sattied into the (now) $250K. One of these days the pokerstars will align... |

It's a game of skill, no? Although, you do need some luck to go deep into this kind of tournament, all you can do is play your best game and hope things go your way. |

No-one is suggesting poker isn't a game of skill, but you do need some luck too. Especially to wade through a field of 30000. That wouldn't stop me playing it though. Someone has to win it, why not me or you? |

| Not even close to comparing it to lottery....As someone said earlier some amount of skill involved....but even more, there is no lottery that only carries odds of 30,000 to 1 (thats prolly the odds of winning a $3 prize ). All the lotteries are fantastic odds even when compared to the true odds of winning since the state/etc takes so much to pay for education (or whatever) Even if the true odds in a lottery are 10 Million to 1, the real odds are 20 Million to 1 because the state takes 50% for itself (then taxes baby!!!) Another thing to consider...so many donks qualify and play in this--and then so many others donk early trying to build a huge stack, that you end up playing in essence a MUCH smaller field. So I think this is a good one to play. I have been playing the $22 MTT for $250K on Sundays at FTP and like it also |

| re: pokerstars 30,000 player tourney You'd be surprised (well, maybe not) at how fast people drop out of those huge MTT's and how terrible the play is. I've only played in one, the world record one that Stars had in December and I won around $700 for an $11 entry fee. See below |
