Poker superstitions

Do you have any superstition when playing at a tourney? Do you always do something either at the beginning of play or during the game?

Mine is I will always play the first hand of any tourney if the bet is under 100 no matter what I have.

For some reason I only place well when I have a glass of water for the tourniment...

Mine is silly.

In the tournament lobby I've never been ITM when I forgot to sort out player from first position to last.
Moreover when the site has a sort for the hi/lo stacks and for players at my table (like party poker does) I always sort them the same way as I do for the "all player list".

Always from first to last player. Other side doesn't work.

my 1st goal is to get to the final table position and stay there.
i dont like being the low chip guy, they get pushed around to much.
id rather do the pushing.

The only way to surround yourself with short stacks is to win lol. and then have a beer . Do you play on pokerstars killer. I think i played in a tourney just recently with you.

I dont have any superstitions. I think it is more in the type of cards you get and how you play them. Building your stack by winning little amounts at a time is easier than getting lucky... and just because you wore one sock and won on Tuesday doesn't mean that you can do the same on
Thursday. I think sometimes get used to winning by doing a certain thing so they start playing more loosly thinking they cant be beat. And after a while they notice they are loosing money and that superstition doesn't work. So are they going to try another. I think that you will cost yourself money if you think you can't lose by doing one certain thing.

My superstition: never go all-in with 27 offsuit. I know, it's crazy, it's just been an unlucky thing for me.

What?! I've been wearing the same sock on my left foot for 16 years... You tryin to tell me it isn't bringing me good luck?!

I don't eat before I play. I seem to do well when I play hungry. Don't aske me why. When I finally lose, I'll usually say "well, now I can eat!"

Online : if I check, I tap the check button twice with the mouse,as if I was checking in a live game. And if multi-tabling, all my seats must be in the same position..

Live : I have a lucky 50c casino chip I won off a split pot at the Gold Coast Casino which I keep in my back pocket whenever playing poker, never comes out onto the table, just stays in my back pocket.

Not like a card protecter, just a good luck charm..

Haha. I was at the casino playing 5/10 Limit when I won that chip. I remember the hand so perfect because I flopped a 10 high straight, then the turn was a 9 and river was a 10 meant the board had a straight and I split the pot with the other guy.

So really its that lucky a chip....

I do the exact same thing. It does seem to work

well i got certain things i wear when i play live tourneys...ive got a leather wrist band..that i swear brings me luck..ever since i noticed that i always had it on when i cashed i always wear it...and so far its done me proud.
