Well, I was wondering what PS was going to do this week, and it's pretty big. They're doubling all the guarantees for the daily tournaments.

That means the daily 50k games and the nightly 100k games are doubled. And yes, that means the Sunday $100k is now $200k, and the Sunday Million is $2 Million! Expect some huge fields to turn out this week.

...but what does that mean? They say there's more money so more people(money) show up? Do they ever add money?

Well, they are guarantees. So, for example, if less than 20,000 sign up for the $10 Sunday $200k, there's still $200,000 in the prize pool. (ie, PS ponies up the rest)

That's the theory. But in reality, you're right, it'll probably just mean twice as many people or more will show up.

yeah, won't be much overlay, just way more players in most of 'em. but really that ought to be a + for a good player's ROI, even though it will increase variance as well

I imagine you'll get a lot of people trying out the big Sunday games for the first time. So, a few more fish than usual.
