Just stated playing on Poker Stars. What is a trivia freeroll? Not sure I have ever seen one.

Im out about 9,000th
straight gets beat by flush.

good question am curious as to what they are also,are they open to anyone

Celebrating their upcoming 10 billionth hand. You hit register & a question comes up if you can answer it you get into the free roll. Tough questions like what is 2 + 4, answer a pocket A cracker. You find them under the tourney tab.

I dunno about the quality of competition.

10,400 in the one I'm in. Get AQs mid, raise, get 5 callers. JT8 flop, but SB leads with $20 bet into $400+ pot. BB call, early calls, I raise to $100 (weak raise, I know), everybody calls

Turn is checked, Ace comes on the river, early bets $180, I call figuring he's hit a straight but it's cheap, SB calls.

SB had 99, early has A9o



Apparently these are open to play money players too, I guess. The minimum bets at the flops are a good clue.

Then the bad thing is when I start thinking everyone plays that badly.

I raise limpers from the cutoff w/TT, the first limper pushes. I'm thinking it's another donk play and I call, his KK

We’ll be running four Trivia Freerolls daily, each with $1000 prize pools, during The BIG 10 Billion Celebrations. Each Trivia Freeroll is password protected, and in order to know the password for entry, you’ll need to answer a question about PokerStars.
The trivia freerolls will take place at 00:10, 09:10, 13:10 and 19:10 ET every day, with each freeroll appearing in the lobby 30 minutes before the start time. The first $1000 Trivia Freeroll is at 09:10 on May 12, and will continue four times daily, through May 22!
Where do I find the trivia question?
Registration for each tournament opens 30 minutes before play begins. When the "Register" button appears, click it - a pop-up window will appear with the tournament's specific trivia question. The answer to the trivia question will be the password required to enter the tournament.
How do I find the answer?
Answers to all the questions can be found in and around the PokerStars website, the PokerStars Blog and within the PokerStars client software.
What do I do once I’ve found the answer?
Each Trivia Freeroll is password protected, and in order to know the password for entry you’ll need to answer a question about PokerStars

i may try one of these during the week, but i can see it now, you get A A go allin and have 8 callers, and the guy with 7 2 off suit wins the hand,LOL,, the play will be crapy,>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. buck

It´s my first post here. I´m playing the pokerstars trivia freeroll right now, but i´m very very unlucky.

Just checked the one that started at 9:10 this morning,, after running for 25 minutes there is already 4,000 players out, the play must be real bad, from 9500+ to 5400 in only 25 minutes,,LOL,LOL>>>>>>> buck

im in one now. it started with 15000 and an hour and half into it we're down to 3200. im in 1650 right now with little under average in chip stack.

Questions are easy; when did Tom McEwen win his world championship? You get time to Google it, and if you get it wrong you can try again.

But I got impatient and gave up. It's not a turbo so the blinds go up slowly and the players are slooow making decisions. You can't shake calling stations and I got tired of seeing the minimum bets at the flop/turn/river, which apparently means anything from Ace high to KK. I lasted until I was almost in the money but lost patience.


(But, I'm a freeroll whore, so I'll probably be back)

Just signed up for one and the answer was tricky. Found it fast but apparently passwords to PS tourneys contain no capital letters. When someone asks me to name a country, I'm wanting to capitalize the name of that country.

Don't do that for these tournies. lower case only. Save yourself the aggrevation I just went through.

Hello eveybody my first time on here. I had a hard time with some of the trivia question just wondering if anybody had the same problem.

Use google and you should not have a problem.
But, there was one that could not find the answer to anywere, it was something to do with silverstars and percentages and FPPs
