Well I think this will be a bigger deal than the regular $200k grtd because this record attempt has an automatic minimum 150k guaranteed overlay and pays out an unheard of 25% of the massive field. That typical $200k grtd game has no overlay at all and pays, at most 20% but I'd guess it's more like the norm of 10-15%. Oh and I'm sure the $30k first prize will help too for a bit of dream seeking.
I may play this just for giggles. ![]() |

This is way above my bankroll limit for regular tournaments, but even my wife thinks its a good idea...
What a way to blow out the end of the year. I'm in. (currently 612 registered) I think PokerStars should sell T-shirts. Last edited by arahel_jazz : 13th December 2008 at 7:41 AM. |

Here is an idea for those like me that have a BR that is too small for this event. I am just going to try to satellite into the Sunday 200k and then unregister from it and use $T on this event.
Obviously trying more than once or twice would be a waste of money, but might as well give it a shot. Just a thought. See you guys the 28th! Dustin Ranger |

Bumping this to keep it current...might even sticky it for giggles. Could be interesting to get a large CC contingent to play this and see how deep we can get how many people. Might be fun.

I gave up playing the Sunday $200k because of poor results, and I really don't like the current payout structure.
But I'll be playing in this one. Already won a seat on the $200k and unregistered so I could play this one. And for anyone wondering if they'll be close to the 35,000, take a look at the event. Still 10 days away, and there's over 4,000 registered already! Here's hoping that a CC player makes it to the final table. |

The main reason to get excited about this is the $150,000 overlay and that's a minimum overlay, could be more if they don't get 35,000 entrants since the $500,000 is guaranteed.
You find me any $11 tournament on any site with a $150,000 overlay and I'll deposit on the site just to play in it. I think they should take the winner's (mine) picture and put that with the record in the Guiness book. Like others I've already registered, I don't want to miss it. The only problem is how long do you suppose it's going to take to get to final table? 6 hours? 10 hours? It's not a turbo so it's going to be a LONG long time. Better get your butt in condition. |
