pokerstars freerolls does anyone know if there is a prize beyond getting a ticket for finishing high in the weekly freeroll satellites (to get to the weekly round 2 games). i made it past the 88 needed to get a ticket in my Horse tourney, and am now in 2nd out of 30 left, wondering if i should bother to keep playing, besides pride. I think i might feel bad if i were to win a 6000 person tourney, and it wasn't worth any money, or even points....demoralizing to have a win like that mean nothing beyond the ticket for breaking through the top percent, right?

You don't win any money. It's just the higher you finish, the more weekly tournament points you earn towards the TLB. No money is involved. I've finished 1st before in one of the Hubble's Tournaments (had 12,000 entrants). I knew that I'd get no money, but I was just curious to see how many points I'd earn. I don't remember the exact amount, but it was somewhere in the 300's i think; nothing compared to what the leaders are putting up on that board. So I figured it was pointless playing out the rest of the freeroll after you earn your Round 2 ticket. That's just my opinion.

If you don't want the ticket, you can sell it One thing great about pokerstars is that they allow transfers and exchanges. I'm not sure what your ticket's worth, but I'm sure I know someone (or me) who will give you cash for it if you wish to sell it below face value.

re: pokerstars freerolls I just downloaded Pokerstars because I found out they now have a Mac version.... I'm hopefully going to play some freerolls after work if there are any. What are these tickets?

I received a ticket to the ceres invitational, and thought that was the only way ppl could register but someone at the table said they had paid 300 to get into it. Another comment they made was the tourney was wierd because you pay play money to win real money. Does anyone know if you can play money buy into some of these?
