Pokerstars? I don't think requires proof of Identity. I don't know why this matters though. Do you plan on having multiple accounts?

I knew I would be asked that question...lol. I'm legal to play. I just don't like the idea of sending out such information to these companies. Thanks Cheese! I've played there before, but only for fun. Since I prefer playing live as opposed to online, I've really not given online play with real cash much of a chance. I've made a few deposits on FT and UB, and the reason I liked UB is because there were no loop holes to go through in order to make a withdrawal. The only problem is, UB is somewhat lacking on table selection compared to the other major websites so I'm looking for another place to play.

re: Poker sites that don't require proof of identity? Do you have any problems giving ID when you set up an online banking account, or indeed a RL bank account ? Seriously the reason that these "companies" are looking for ID its to proove that you are who you say you are, and to stop/prevent multiple accounts/money laundering etc etc..... So in essence you should be looking to play on a pokersite that wants to see an ID rather than one that dosnt. The other route is to set your self up a NETELLER account (using ID) and deposit and withdraw using that.

re: Poker sites that don't require proof of identity? I was pretty surprised I was never asked for ID when I took my money out of my PS account. FT asked for it, which I like. They did lock my account one time when I emailed them about withdrawing because I had earlier set up an account (and forgotten about it). That account had never been played. Caused me some bonus money as my bonus clearing deadline passed while my account was locked.

No reason not to give your ID info to any credible business like Stars or FT. To not do so out of paranoia is a bit, well, nitty. You're far more likely to be a victim of fraud when you give a waiter/waitress your CC at a restaurant and they take it out of your sight. BTW tenbob, NETELLER doesn't accept US customers anymore. There are other ewallet services like UseMyWallet that do, however. And no, Stars never asked for my ID when I made my first withdrawal. FT sure did, but it was for a significant amount and I'm glad they did.

re: Poker sites that don't require proof of identity? The only ones I have not be asked is Doyles and Cake. UB and AB both asked me to send my information. I don't mind because I prefer it that way, it makes me feel a little better inside.
