poker playing patterns

i've been playing at Ultimatebet and carbon as of late and have noticed that players at Ultimatebet play a lot more aggressive than at carbon; loose calls, lots of over betting etc etc. Anybody else notice this besides me?

Let me try and engage in conversation on this thread again. I have played on Ultimatebet for a number of years. It really depends on the stakes and game type that you are playing there as to the type of players and play that you will run into. The table play will vary greatly at times. This is where I take Tony Guerrera's advice and pull up a few tables and watch. When you find the style of play that suits you take a seat.

What stakes/game types are you playing?

The same for me. I am pretty new to poker but in watching and playing low to high stakes seems to be really different. It is funny how people bet in freerolls especially. I actually saw an 8 person all in first hand and no one even had a pair or AK AQ and only one had suited cards. Incredible.

It's been a while since I've played these stakes. The .50/1 NL used to be loaded with players that only played premium starting hands. But since Ultimatebet started this Jackpot foolishness, a lot has changed. Also, Ultimatebet cut back on the non-Jackpot tables it seems.

At one time the players on Ultimatebet (3 years ago and can't remember source) were rated as the better players. At these stakes you will see a lot of people just popping bets on the flop to try and take down the pot. Play solid poker and you should be able to have fun with these guys.

Lately on every site it seems that people don't think they need hands to make or call 4 - 5 BB bets. No size bet can get them off a draw or their hopes of hitting their over cards.

GL!

this site is easy to win on...ultimate bet has fewer players and i have won a lot playing there....i prefer full tilt but Ultimatebet is defintiely a s it ethat u can take advantage of players over aggression to build a chip stack...stick with it if u can tolerate the slow game play..lol
