Do any of the poker rooms have rules about what players can call themselves as I wasplayig this morning and saw a name I thought was pretty ordinary but maybe I am being overly sensitive.

Of course they do. They don't spell it out exactly, but they'll let you know immediately if it's not acceptable. Certain whole words or even sequences (i.e. fuk) are usually written into their solftware to kick back. And sites can differ. Bodog allows 'bitch', as does Ultimatebet even though they changed mine after a year. Other sites like FT PS, Carbon, Doyle, won't allow it from the start. Most people find a suitable workaround (i.e. FLICK_YOLI_UB or Dive8itch). There was a something-'nigga' at my table today. So, care to share?

I have seen plenty of not so proper names out there.
Cant think of any off the top of my head, but usually it is in some referance to a certain body or bodies parts.

I cant say much about this kind of thing as i have a few names myself that i spell bytch as in bytchrulez but I dont try to offend anyone as some do so I think its all in the nature of a person some people just are going for an insult to some while others are going for pue shock value. Just my oponion yall.

Yeah, a friend of mine just signed with full tilt and used an afrikaans swear word as an alias and they accepted it. Of course, I understood what it meant so when he came to say hi to me at a table, I almost fell off my chair when I saw his name!

they do have rules on the names, but i guess they don't figure the names out very quikly, as bodog made me change mine after i had it for one year, looks like "sukmyballs" wasn't a very friedly name and as divebitch mentioned above it looks like i can now expect ultimatebet to make me change my name also, ahh why do i pick these names, oh yeah because i suk at poker and im an insecure little boy whos trying to act tough, hahahaha.

sometimes people call themselves something fully just for a laugh.
Nothing serious about a screen name.

It's too bad you can never change your name on sites. That's what bugs me the most. I understand why, but still.
