Poker Beta Testers Wanted

Hello to All Forum Regulars:
I am seeking help - I am looking for around 100 Beta Testers to go over our new website and poker software.
We are up and running now and will be going "public" with advertising etc. at the start of November.
In the mean time I am looking for players who have:
1) At least 1 years online experience
2) Played at at least three other poker sites
3) Are able to objectively look at our site/software and make recommendations accordingly.
I am happy giving each Beta Tester a 20€ deposit into their balance to play on our server as payment - which is yours to keep.
After 7 to 10 days of play I will personally be in touch to receive your comments & recommendations.
If you are interested in this then please drop me an email (confirming points 1 and 2 above) to martin@mercuryin.es and I will revert with the site details and Signup code.

----------------------------
If you perceive this post as spam I sincerely apologise, Likewise if you are offended in any way, again I apologise.
I have not mentioned the site name in any of the above and I wouldnt post a link on the forum - only if you are interested in being a beta tester.
I hope that people understand my sincerity and would be interested in helping us with our development.
----------------------------
Best regards

Martin Macdonald

I`m signed up as well, KD. Screen name Egon Towst. Haven`t managed any play yet, because the email with my activation code was very slow arriving. Will probly try today.

Question: Why does Martin need Beta testers ? This is only a skin on the B2B Network. They must know that it works because (as you have seen) they already have an established community of players.

Maybe I`m being unduly suspicious, but do you think this is genuine ? Or are we being scammed ? Is he making money for signing us, through some kind of affiliate program ?

If he particularly wants us to look at the details of graphics and presentation, as opposed to the gameplay (surely the only reason one would want to test a skin), he hasn`t said so.

No idea egon, but Ive highlighted 3 software/gameplay problems to him already, and they've all been changed in 24 hours.
My username is KerouacDog(without the 's')
Look out for the prize added tourneys, way under subscribed. And, the rebuys, people are loose/aggresive all the way to the final table, I play TAG and didnt need to change gear at all, and still finished in the top 4 of both mtt's I played.
See you there.

Update re. Beta Testing

Hi Guys,

First of all I would like to thank you all for your positive response, and so far I have been notified of some 14 mistakes and suggestions to update, roughly half of which I have managed to get done.

With response to the previous posts here regarding turnaround time to get the codes out to potential beta testers, unfortionately I dont have the staff of partygaming - its just me here for the time being! - so it does take me a while to get to everything.

Regarding USA Players - I regret to inform you that we cant take US customers at the moment, but I sincerely hope that this situation is reverted by the first week of November - I will keep you posted, and sorry if any US players have wasted any time trying to log in, sorry guys!

Re. whether or not this is some kind of scam (as pretty much everything else on the net is!), I can not prove in any way that it is or isnt, in truth I am just giving away 20€ vouchers to try and get people OTHER than my family and friends on the site, as they didnt pick up on any of the mistakes!

I hope that you all enjoy it, and if any other non US players would like a signup code, email me at martin@mercuryin.es (i still dont really want to post a link on the group as it would (correctly) be construed as spamming).

Thanks again,

Martin Macdonald

Hi Egon,

several people have emailled me this question, and it is true that we are part of the 24h network (similar to the Prima network for those that are unfamiliar) - However, I have had to put about 3 months work of my own in building all aspects of the site and all graphical elements of the software.

Whilst the "Gameplay" aspect comes from the network, everything else is totally customisable. As an example, one of my first problems was that the Chips were not totalling correctly on the table during betting rounds, and this was my error. It is things like this that I am looking for particularly.

(one last note, im not on any kind of "deal" for new players here, the only way I end up in the black on this is if a player manages to spend more than the 20€ voucher back in rake, whilst I hope this happens, Im not holding my breath !! ;-)

thanks,

Martin Macdonald

Anyway, keep us posted for now regarding US players.

You`re not wrong. I`ve played 3 MTTs so far. In the first two, I couldn`t catch any cards. I came 4th in the third one (from 2000 players).
