I am on pokerstars and i noticed that the pot has to reach above a dollar to earn even fractions of a point. are there any sites out there that have less requirements just to earn points?

u dont get any points for a under a dollar? i think you get some..u almost have to get some. But i know every set has a different set of requirements to earn their "points" i play on pokerstars too but never noticed that the pot had to be bigger than $1

no you dont get any points. i play the lowest stakes, and even when the pot gets to 90 cents, no points are earned. the only way you get even a fraction is if the pot reaches a dollar. trust me, i keep checking the cashier just to see if my points go up and that is what happens.

well i know it is a very slow process..your a bronze star right? thats the lowest and slowest level to earn points. i just became a silverstar so i should earn points a little faster. but i believe its all about rake ..like for every three dollars raked you earn 7 points or something. im thinkin you get points for all pots your apart in...not a whole points obviously unless its a big pot.but progressively you earn points

Its true in 2NL you get no points for the majority of the hands. In fact the only time you do get meaningful points is if you pick a table with alot of maniacs.

I guess you need to be playing on 10NL to even have a chance of clearing a deposit bonus.

You get points based on the amount of rake taken from each hand I believe at pokerstars it 6.5 vips for every dollar worth of rake

and there is one reason of many why i dont really play a lot at pokerstars

at bodog u get 1 point per hour at each table you at playing on

they have monthly reload bonuses as well

softer games but less players
