Playing live with very drunk players

Yesterday I sat at a casino for a few hours and had the interesting and unique experience of being at the same table as an extremely intoxicated player. He bought in three times, for about $300 each time.

I managed to get him in a hand and took about $150 off of him. It seems like everyone got a turn taking some of his money.

Anyone else played with drunk people or people that were in no mental state to play well?

I have taken £12,000 off a highroll player at the vic casino wile he was very drunk. He still had fun they just tend to bet more when they think they have a good hand like pocket 5's

I've played with a few drunk people from time to time, easy money for the most part.

Last time I went to Caesers there was a guy at my table that had just the worse luck. He would hit to pair, somebody had two higher pair, he hit tripps, and somebody had him beat. He hit a boat, somebody had a bigger boat.

He probably bought in 6 or 7 times in the short time I was at his table.....I would have walked away for a while took a nice break.

i cant say playing a drunk person is easy, poker is afterall a game of live cards. Dont rush into a game with a drunk person thinking they are easy wins

When myself, Freakakanus, MrSticker, dakota-xx, and Amador Ed all met up in Reno this past July, we played in a SNG, where one of the ladies playing was not only clueless as to what she was doing, but also very drunk. I'm just glad for her that those were tournament chips rather than cash that she was losing.

I used to hit this local bar every night to play live tourneys.Every night of the week they would have atleast 20 guys playing 10$ buy in tourneys, only paidtop 3.One of the rules was you had to drink to play so I would buy a Bud Light and drink really lightly and let the others do shots, etc,it was very easy to get 1rst or 2nd and I usually did every game and they would play 3 or 4 a night and every time I won some money I would buy the final table a drink....before I knew it I was making more money at this bar than I was working my full time job...I would walk in with 50$ and leave with 300$.

To bad the place got busted for illegal gambling..........

At the live games I deal, it's quite common for drink cards to be used as rebuys - usually four drinks = one rebuy. The venues don't care if it's Jagermeister or lemonade, so you don't have to get drunk... but quite a few do.

There's one poor guy in particular who's decided that rebuys are the key to victoy, so he spends loads on booze in there. And he's still never won. He makes a few final tables, but someone always relieves him of all his chips before the business end of things.

Atlantic City, spring break till summer, enjoy the beach, see the sites, take a nap, and stay out of the poker room till about MIDNITE!! 1-2 nl buy in for $100 and take rich drunk kids cash. its great if you play a solid game. I always did great at tropicana. Stay sober, joke around and let these people think they are having a GREAT time!
