playing with a friend i transferred money to.

so my friend lost all his money on ps, and i was wondering if i could play with him if i transferred him money. one of the times he went broke, he tried to bluff me all on on the river when i had the nuts, but i had never transferred to him before. if i transfer him the money, could it be seen as collusion if we play together after?

aslong as your not cheating I dont see what the problem is I send money!

I mean I wouldnt cheat, I'm just afraid it will look like it if we keep playing each other.

i wouldn't just to be safe

okay, but to ps it would seem we are sharing a bankroll. in fact, he is going to give me the money in person later, so this is the sticky issue. thanks for the post though.

why not play at a play money table ...and avoid the rake?

play money would be fun if it was hu. but the other people take away. and to the 2nd question, why the hell not? we are talking about dollars and cents at a time lol.

umm it doesn really make sense why you would want to play your friend online for money??

you both lose money with the rake so WTF is the point?? play a home game together and stroke each others puds while you guys play or somethin...dont play at the same online table

I have transferred with friends to play at the same ring table, if you are talking HU, they could always check a HH if in doubt of soft play, collusion, etc..

I also do it with other CC members and then we play Cash games or CC tournaments, the main thing is to play just as hard against your mate as you would with a stranger, they will catch you if you cheat or soft play against your mate and then they will close your account and keep any money that you have in your account.

I definitely wouldn't do it if you are playing sng's.

You can transfer to anyone. Integrity is what all online sites are hoping for I'm sure. We have a old sayinng in the military "if the combat boots fots then wear it" ..I'm sure you and your friend are fuine upstanding poker players and would not risk being accused or perhaps identified as such and banned from the site. :-)

To Patty...although I would rather not my friends money is just as good as yours so why not take it if hes at the tables with you. Tournament can't be helped, so there should be no hard feeling. In a cash game sit at different tables. then feeling aren't hurt.

I've often played friends in HU sng's. It's fun. Set it up 'battleship' style (playing in same house, sitting across table from one another while on laptops... it's a blast actually... super funny w obv. live tells, etc.). So what.. you pay like 10cents per game (sometimes we bet on the side). I'd pay someone more than 10cents to shuffle & deal the cards for me, keep track of blind levels, etc. The majority of the HU Sng's I've played online are exactly this (playing the cheapest buyins & playing vs. friends & having a great time while doing so). Haven't tried the pud stroking part though... maybe that could be included in one of the sidebets? (or as a distraction??)
