Player Traffic Is Going Down The number of players on Pokerstars really seem to have gone down to me recently. The tournaments don't fill up as fast and noone hardly plays the high buy in sit n gos over $10, which you can wait for like an hour for one to start. Have other people noticed this or is it just me?

I've noticed it on all poker sites.Probably a combo of cheating scandals and economy. Don't forget us crackdown on online gambling as well.

re: Player Traffic Is Going Down poker The big trend you are missing is the weather. As the weather gets better in Europe things start to slow down quite dramatically. Usually there is a bit of a rise from the WSOP, but during say May-August you have a lot more people spending a lot more time away from their PCs.

I just did a few rounds of 30-tabling the1-table turbo $25's and $38's on Stars. Yes afterwards I wanted to kill myself, but they did run. The 60's also run at a slower but somewhat reasonable rate and I'm not sure about action at higher.

I have not noticed the numbers being noticeably down. But, even if they are, they are also still a little more than double what they were when the poker boom first took hold. I mean, I started playing probably a year after Moneymaker, probably a bit more than that, and Stars topped out at peak times ~75K-80K or so. There are 98K right now, in the middle of the night on the east coast of the U.S. And of course near 200,000 during the day. So there is a long way for things to fall to get to where things were when "everybody" was playing poker online.

It seems like every year around WSOP time things seem to get a bit slower..... Pokerstars is also having alot of problems with individuals cheating and colluding with eachother... I have cought several people colluding at the tables.... Thats why online i will never go to high limits.....Higher limits means bigger cheaters. Hopefully things slow down more, so that more of the serious people who come to play have a better chance.

Do the numbers reduce every year then around this time when the weather gets better? Come to think of it the weather has been the best weather in 9 months where I live so maybe u have a point. Then again its never good weather everywhere and its always gonns good weather somewhere and bad somewhere. The economy probably is probably an important issue as well as people have less money to spend and are going to start saving more. I have noticed the number of people there gambling on blackjack, roulette and craps has dropped massively recently in casinos where I live, not just poker. So hopefully it will get higher again when the weather goes rubbish and the economy is booming.

during the mid-day et. pokerstars has over 200k people. how much traffic do u need? lot of people grinding out ring games. the tourneys have become real donkfests and nicknamed donkaments. seems that anybody that has won any money is playing cash games. tables are snapped up real fast.

Poker player attrition Player traffic on online poker sites is down for many reasons: - the current poker boom has already peaked and popularity is on the decline. - the global recession has reduced the amount of money that flows into the gaming industry. - as the weather warms up in the Northern Hemisphere, people tend to go outdoors more and engage in other activites. This causes a reduction in the amount of time people spend on the computer and the Internet.

re: Player Traffic Is Going Down poker My sessions haven't really had any impact by means of less traffic, but one thing I can say for sure is if the numbers for the 750K dip any lower, the 750K will die. people don't want their rakeback affected by it. a little overlay was fine, but if it gets to the point where it dips below 3500 then count me out.

yea people are still playing just that people in us are losing jobs due to a poor economy and high gas prices people cant afford to just throw away 50$ or 100$ a week anymore and i have noticed that the players that are playing the 10$ sng are very good players hard for me to win those now 6 years ago on bodog you could buy in to a sng click the sit out button and 6 out of ten times you would cash even got a few secconds lol

re: Player Traffic Is Going Down poker I know for a fact that the traffic on Poker.com/Carbon Poker is down because they have $50 freerolls every four hours, and 6 months ago they filled all 1500 spots every time except the 4am one. Now the ONLY one that fills up is the primetime 8pm NLE. The others have about 1000-1300 people. I remember getting home an hour before the 4pm started and just getting registered in time, now it doesnt ever fiill up.
