Played In My First LIVE! Tournament

Last night, I went to a local casino and decided to get my feet wet with live play. My FIRST! They have No Limit Holdem tournaments twice a day for $20 buy-in, $20 re-buys, and $20 add-ons. We just did the $20 buy in for 650 chips. I busted out on an all in - and did one more re-buy.

I was at a table of all males and the testosterone was flying. The aggressive betting was every hand. And all of them trying to crush me! LOL But I don't play with bullies - so I stayed away from it.

I won one big pot and that felt great! My last hand I should have won. The guy next to me calls "all in" with a K/7 Os!! Couldn't believe that. There was a K already out on the table so I went all in - I had K/J. I thought I was a winner until the river - came a 7 ! Dang if that didn't hurt. I couldn't believe he would risk his chips with a K/7 Os, but I guess he thought I was "just a girl" and would try to bluff her - but I called. 9 times out of 10, I would have won, but not this time.

I'll be going back! This time with more chips!!! since the top prize is over $1000. LOL It was alot of fun. A tournament atmosphere is easier to get your feet wet than a ring game (less intimidating), since many of us do the freerolls and feel pretty at ease around them.

So ladies (and men), I suggest you go try a live game some time. It was a good $40 education - I learned a lot.

I have played two big tournaments i didnt make any waves a friend of mine that I gave a ride to got 3rd out of 200+ people.

I'd love to play at a casino some time. Unfortunately, I live in Germany and gambling here is illegal in general. I know there are some casinos around but I don't know where they are, neither what they offer. If anyone has some information about that, would be great.
