Pitbull poker

I personally think that Pitbull Poker stinks, the software is slow and crappy. I just played a tourney there after not playing there for months . I still was not impressed.

isn't pitbull completely written in flash? aside from playing poker and needing to have a computer with windows on it most of the time (i use freebsd because i'm a nerd), i really really hate flash, haha. i play some cheapo freerolls there every once in a while though.

Yeah, but it's slow in the web browser. I mean the interface looks nice, but it's really not worth it.

I like the fact no downlaod is needed. However, The room has a low traffic volume. So, It takes a long time before sit n' goes fill up. The rake at the low buy-ins are extremely high. At the $.10 SNGs the rake is $.05, the $1 SNGs rake $.25. It is actually a cheaper rake to play the $.50+$.10 SNGs.

re: pitbull any good ? poker

Yes, i agree. Pitbull has more downs then ups. But I play on Pitbull all the time, and I never had a cashing-out problem. But I did have to clear 200 comp points and make a deposit first.

The flash based software really sucks. And, its a pain to try and play with other sites open. Almost no traffic, and high rake fees.

But Pitbull has the most fish out of any site and a decent poker player should have no problem making atleast $70 profit a day off the site.

PROCEED W/CAUTION

Pitbull is not a poker app - it's all run thru IE just like any other website. It slows my computer down, and often shuts my computer down when I try to run the freeroll. Not worth it in my opinion. It is possible since it's not an app that it's easier for people to grab your info and or cheat. Something to think about!

re: pitbull any good ? poker

They do have lots of freerolls, one per hour. There are some problems with their software though. Particularly their software for the 7 card stud high/low. At times, the program automatically checks every one and deals your cards, and cthen auto hecks again thru the last card. Great if you had a folding hand cause you get free looks. Not so good if you have a hand you wanted to bet on cause there are no options to bet.

I don't play there because of the low volume of players. I prefer Mtt's over ring games and the number of players in the Mtt's are very low. Hard to get motivated with a small prize pool. I'm sure good cash game players could do well there.

There's a discussion going on right now on another forum about superusers at Pitbull, sounds like it could be legit. I've never had a problem there, including cashouts, but then again I only play tourneys.

The apparent superusers were supposedly at the higher stakes cash games. The main poster at the other forum has been trying to talk them into sending his own hand histories for the last 1,000 hands and PB won't do it.

Up until yesterday, he was able to retrieve the HH's from the website, but not in a usable format to prove or disprove anything. Now, he claims, none of his HH's are available. He was in the process of getting help in turning theses HH's into something that could be added to a spreadsheet or database when PB supposedly pulled the plug out.

Won a few bucks playing in their freerolls. Won't deposit there because of the low traffic. Also don't really enjoy flash software they use. Personally prefer the downloadable stuff. But I could see the site being enjoyable for some. More traffic would make me think about the site more often...

Didn't read all the replys, so I don't know if this was mentioned earlier, But most sites will match your deposit 100% or even go over 100%...although...
The majority have certain guidelines that you have to follow to get the bonus that they offer...like bet a certain amount in the 1st 30 days...
Win or lose doesn't matter, as long as you bet the prescribed amount in the time allotted.

I played pitbull with the free $10 until i was around $150 then had to make a min deposit and clear the bonus to withdraw but all in all its decent and easy to win. If you do as they ask and try not to be to big of a baby, you can easily withdraw from there site. As far as the cheating goes, i think that originated from a forum member and might have already been addresed.

Nope, ongoing at 2+2 thread. The site has stopped responding, and also disabled access to retreive all hand histories.

You forgot: refused to give out their address.

My jaw dropped on that one. Who would deposit at a site that refuses to give out hand histories, and refuses to give out their own address?!

Didn't read all the posts saw there was not a lot of positive to say i don't have a lot either.

From what i saw software and tourneys are not that impressive. Doesn't appear to be many people playing at once. I had problems playing in some free roll tourneys getting kicked off and stuff, this could be a comp issue on my part.

The fact that there is no download required and it is flash based could be positive or negative.

I played because they have a $25 freeroll every hour ( donkeyroll as i call um) Played maybe 10 times and cashed once a big 2 bucks for 5th it pays top 18 18th 30 cents.
