perplexed I been wondering about about changing seats in online games. I know some sites you can switch places with other players whether they want to or not, but shouldn't that change the cards. If it doesn't Would n't that mean that the cards are not random?

I'm not sure I understand. You can't change seats with someone whether they want to or not. You can essentially make it LOOK like you're sitting in a different seat by "rotating" the table, but your position is exactly the same relative to everyone else (ie. the guy who was on your left is still on your left). I hope that helps.

re: perplexed poker Very nice beginner question. Seems like a minor issue, but in the beginning, everything is not a small issue, I can't imagine how many more simple things baffle new players. The whole table rotates for you when you change seats. If you notice the position of the button, you will see it moves also. This is so you can eventually get a continuous feel for a site. Also aids in multi-tabling. It is a user convenience.

i always choose the option 'preferred seat' and sit at the bottom of every table i play. this view is my 'personal' view. the same table will 'look' different on another players screen depending on there personal settings. hope this makes sense
