my understanding about this is not that the sites don't accept paypal, but paypal doesn't accept payments to gambling sites

Nope ever since ebay bought PayPal, PayPal no longer accepts internet gaming transactions or Poker site transfers in ither words

any site that offer paypal should be avoided at all costs.

Netteller is the way forward, most sites use it and you can deposit through a bank account.

I really wish some of them would accept paypal. I am an eBay seller, and it would be nice to easily use that money for poker.

Try to find out if you can transfer money from pay pal to netteller. Netteller is a good way to go IMO
