PartyPoker's APPAULING service!!!! Disgusting!!!

So, I signed up to party poker this evening.

After validating user info etc I deposited $50 on my Visa card.

Approx 2 minutes later, my account was barred and unaccessible, and I got an email telling me to call an AMERICAN phone number to confirm that I am who I am.

So i rang, and they told me to email photographs of my drivers license to prove i'm real. So i took as detailed photo's as I could, but of course the text on pictures is muffled at short range. I sent the photo's along, and they replied saying it wasnt good enough and i should fax over the license document.

So I faxed the license to the american fax number, and they emailed me back complaining it doesnt have my date of birth on. Thats because thats on the plastic card which you cant fax, and can't scan as it comes out muffled.

Due to this they told me unless I can send them clear proof of age thru picture of drivers license or passport my account stays barred as well as my $50....

So i emailed 4 times without reply over 5 hours. I Decided to ring and play hell with them. I spoke to some stupid idiot there, where I repeated myself 5 times before he FINALLY understood that I was trying my hardest but it was impossible. He eventually unlocked my account but said if theres any furhter security issues I must provide clear proof of date of birth on driving license or passport... OMFG WHAT HAVE I BEEN TRYING TO DO?

This was disgusting. It took over 8 hours to sort it out, and fair enough it was only $50, i would have entered a couple of sit and go's in that time etc, but instead I was sat here worrying about some stupid company being very very silly.

I am considering writing a formal letter of complaing to party pokers management, as I am to believe that the people who dealt with my account were NOT party poker (partypoker.de), but a company who looks after the accounts seperately.

Thoroughly disgusted with how I've been treated.

OK They called me after I tried to make my first withdrawal. No documents necessary but I use Neteller to move money around. Being from the UK you should have some very solid options for dealing with these guys on a legal level. Grum or maybe Nick SHOULD be able to help point you in the right direction!

You're on a bit of a downer recently aint ya!

I had heaps of trouble with Noble Poker and Neteller setting up accounts. I though US firms were supposed to be famed forthier customer service?

Couldnt believe it when they kept telling me that the evidence i was producing wasn't enough, when it was EVERYTHING i could possibly produce!!! If they EVER EVER do anything like this again, I will be seeking legal advice from someone. It was my money and they had no right to treat me like a criminal until I could prove I was innocent.

Very angry.

Use Neteller. Depositing via credit card is no excuse for their retardedness, but use Neteller and they have no reason to ask you for ID, let alone be so totally anal about it.

Dorkus. Thank you for the advice. I will withdraw the money to my neteller account and transfer it to elsewhere through that. Especially if less ID "proving" is involved. I will be interested to see the reply to my complaint, as I could happily remove the $50 and play elsewhere to be honest...

One of the biggest poker sites and they do something like this. Just disgusting.

i've deposited on party a number of times cashed out over $1000 a couple of times and never had any problems at all

Grrrrrrrr, Neteller! I had to tell them my bank account number 3 seperate times, they didn't phone me back when they promised they would (twice), didn't send micro-deposit when they said they would -I had to complain to manager to get account sorted out. Now I have though it has saved hassle with other sites.

No bad credit rating at all :O lol...

thing is, my account got barred once I deposited money regardless of how as I had another account under the name joshua sugarman, however I confirmed that this account would be shut down previously and they allowed me to open up a new account!!! They kind of went back on themselves a bit and threw me in the middle!!
