Some Info Outs are the amount of cards you can win or complete your hand. You count the number of cards that you can get to complete your hand. For Example: You have 9h 10c The flop is 2d 8c Js If you get a 7 or a Queen you will have the straight. There are 4 sevens in the deck and 4 Queens. Giving you 8 outs to make your hand. This is purely based on your hand not considering your opponents. If your opponent has 2c 4s then you have more outs. You can get a 9 or a 10. Because you have 1 of both the 9 and the 10 you have 6 more outs. (3 Nines and 3 10's). You know have a total of 14 outs to win the hand. It is great to memorize situations such as open ended straight draws, gun shot straight draws, Flush draws, and even open ended straight flush draws. This will make calculating easier and much faster. As for the chips it depends on what you are willing to spend and what kind of quality you want. I currently own standard metal insert dice chips which are sold throughout the world. They look and feel kinda of like casino chips. They retail anywhere from 40 to 80 dollars. Hope this helps. You may want to search the forums for more info on chips and outs. Jonathon

Once you are good at figuring your outs, then you can figure out the percentages for getting one of your outs. Here is the basic formula and get you close to the right %. number of outs x 2 = chance to hit % x number of community cards left 9 (example flush draw) x 2 = 18% x 2 (turn and river) = 36 % to get the flush This can help you get close to knowing how likely you will get a card that will help you.

re: Outs poker so if I had 9c 6c and the flop was 6d 7c 8c I would have 76% chance to win but, a 38% to hit...but.. after all this calculations I gotta read the opponent's hand and try to place his possible calculations...then make a bet raise call fold decision in front of millions of people too? If I got it right I maybe the next poker king in Alberta

so if I had 9c 6c and the flop was 6d 7c 8c I would have 76% chance to win but, a 38% to hit...but.. after all this calculations I gotta read the opponent's hand and try to place his possible This makes multiple situations which could happen.. open ended straight flush draw with a pair.. Ignoring the pair you have 4 outs to catch a 5, 4 outs to catch a 10, 9 outs to catch a flush(minus 2 of those cause 1 is a 5 and the other is a 10) making that 7... so 4+4+7= 15 outs... 15 X 4 after the flop = 60% to hit on the turn.If it doesn't it on the turn, then 15 X 2 = 30% to hit on the river...Now lets say on the turn another 6 comes. You now have more outs to make a fullhouse and 4 of a kind. 15 outs of course counted recently..Now you would have 1 6 to come, 3 7's to come, 3 8's to come and 3 9's.. Thats 25 outs.. a 50/50 chance to hit on the river..Your opponent better have some sort of monster against this many outs.
