| "Other" poker sites reviews Have any members here played on bodog, carbon, sportsbook, players only, lock, or doyles room? Actually, I don't need to know if you have a membership, in case you're suspicious, just any type pf review for these sites. I've gone to some of the sites that give reviews, but I'd like to hear from actual players. Losing PS and FT really sucks because there was plenty of tables, games, and lots of players that were great for the guarantee tourney's. Any input would be appreciated. |

carbon: good Software (need fast pc) even when some hated, low traffic, more Mtts schedulled than bodog, good deposit/cashout (faster than bodog), email support is regular, live chat is ok. CC runs games there. sportsbook: same like Carbon but have some issues there (frozze account without a reason after deposit, no email send, reopen account after 3-4 days, cashout after that and never comeback). players only: never play there. lock: Same like Carbon, little better software/personal account link it to stats sharscope-like can see everything about your games/wins/rakeback, good Deposit/cashouts. doyles->yakatayay or what ever new network it is, just sucks, ask P.O. he loves that site : ) Carbon or Lock is a good option. | re: "Other" poker sites reviews I play at Lock, nice software, and they keep pretty good stats you can look at. Slow traffic in the SnG area, but also the micro and low level mtt dont have nearly as many in them as the bigger sites do. micro cash tables (all ive played so far) are normaly pretty full but they offer a good many tables at each level |

| It seems a lot of people have this misconception that Lock, Carbon, Players Only, Sportsbook ect have all different poker rooms. I'd like to clarify that THEY ARE ALL THE SAME SITE! (Merge Network) They all have the same promos, rakeback and player pool. The lobby themes and screen shots of the felts are slightly different. These games are about as soft as you could ask for and pretty easy to multi table. My suggestion would be to jump from site to site clearing each first time deposit bonus and then stick with whichever layout you're most comfortable with. Doyles Room and True poker (Yatahay) has the worst software you have ever seen, but if you sign up for True Poker as a prop player through certain rakeback sites you can receive up to 84% dealt rakeback! I was tempted to do this though I couldn't bare the awful software. When Cake's traffic picks up over the next couple months I'll probably switch back over there an pick up where I left off on Stars as a degenerate rakeback pro. If you can handle around 20 tables at a time of 100NL you'll make an obscene amount of money each month through there 33% dealt rakeback and great promos. Plus if you sign up through thenuts.com they offer great rake chases which would add another $500-$2500 a month depending on how much volume you put in. The player traffic is just way to low to achieve any of this at the moment. So IMHO, I think you're best bet is any site on Merge. Happy shipping! |
