| Are other cities tourneys falling in size? Ok, I live in Vegas and my family lives in KC so I travel back and forth alot but its pretty much impossible to compare what happens in the poker rooms in vegas with much anywhere else so here's what I'm wondering... I went to play in a tourney this morning in KC, and its just a little one, 50 dollar buyin, but the last time I played in it they had 4 tables and that used to be the norm. So yea, it got cancelled, only 7 people showed, and the room manager says its usually like that now, lucky if they get 3 tables. So are other's seeing this accross the country? Do you think that the economy actually is having an effect or are people losing interest? |

| I'm also in Nevada, 60 miles east of Reno. We have 3 tourneys a week, 2 have stayed about the same and the one on Sunday has actually gone up a little bit. I can see though where some non-gaming areas would be hit be reduced bankrolls for poker. Gambling is great most of the time, but not when it's the meal or mortgage money going on the table. KC = Kansas City (either Kansas or Missouri, twin cities thing) |
