Online poker isRigged Heres The proof!!!!

This question has been posed on this and other forums a lot but it has been met with scepticism, however recent admissions from ultimatebet and to a similar scandal to one at absolute poker leaves us in o doubt that cheating can and does exist in online poker,it wouldnt surprise me if other scandals similar to these come to light with so many oline poker sites now freely available and such huge amounts of cash involved...

Paul Leggett is the Chief Operating Officer of Tokwiro Enterprises, a private company that owns both Absolute Poker and UltimateBet. UltimateBet had a cheating scandal similar in nature to that of Absolute Poker. In May 2008 they released a statement about the scandal. The company states that cheating took place from March 2006 to December 2007. The company claims the cheating was perpetrated by employees of the former owners, Excapsa Software. According to the company, the fraudulent activity was traced to unauthorized software code that transferred hole-card information of other players at the tables to the perpetrators' accounts during play. UltimateBet states removal of the cheating software as of February 2008 and began issuing refunds to affected players.

I don't think you can use the word "rigged" if the company was unaware of the situation. However, this is something that should have been caught by them through system testing and periodic audits of the operation.

So, would you prefer to play for a smart company that rigs the system or a dumb one that lets it happen?

1 in a million cases dont prove that online poker is rigged
these are just cases where ppl with power abused their power
rigged would be if aces lose 40% of the time over a sample of 1 billion hands and that is yet to be proved
there is cheating online like colluding and multiaccounting but that doesnt mean it is rigged

but it wasnt one in a million cases,it was 2 incidents on 2 sites owned by the same company at different times, surely questions need to be answered as to what checks ultimate made after the absolute incident to their security if any,and why they only found the offending software and removed it in febuary this year only after the events were coming to light.. it is a well know fact that where large amounts of cash is involved there will always be greedy individuals finding ways to scam it...

'Rigged' implies the site is consciously stealing your money.. most cases we have seen so far (and there will be more) were done by dishonest employees.

Same thing happens in Vegas. Does not mean Vegas is 'rigged.'

You have to understand that the cheating was perpetrated by past employees who had knowledge of the company's software, employee's who probably created a backdoor into the server.
Sure it can happen, but as it was said before, this was one instance of cheating by PAST employees, which just tells me that that type of cheating can only be made by someone who knows the specific software to sneak in.
Most poker site take measures to make sure this type of cheating doesn't happen and in light of the Absolute/Ultimatebet scandal I'm sure that the other sites have put more security measures in place to make sure this type of thing doesn't happen to them.
And they definately would add extra measure to ensure they don't lose their respect in a multi-million dollar industry.

OK, 2 in a million.....Actualy there's a heck of lot more than 1 million poker players so 2 in how ever many millions of poker players are playing online.

A few people tried and they got caught, they are out of the industry. It wasn't the owner doing it, it was a few employees.

Consider the massive money made in rakes and entry fees by these companies, one blast of bad advertising would cost the company a fortune in lost revenue as players leave their site. Now throw in the money they had to pay back + fines then the irrepairable damage to their reputation and show me how it was proffitable to the owner who had nothing to do with it?

Maybe a little research into how most online poker companies are being audited by themselves and by outside sources would ease your mind on the topic.

This is really funny because I have a friend who actually works for statics canada, and his actually job is to spot, problematic gamblers online, ne-who, a while back we were playing against eachother live and I asked the question is online rigged, his response was if it is, we can't prove it, but there is a chance it's rigged, now the thing is this, is online really rigged? why, why would the companies really screw themselves over for so much more money, I mean I can't really understand why, if u can tell me why then sure, I'll buy it, but what the company it-self makes of've the rack and entry fees is so much more then what they could robb of've us, so just think of it like that

Lol, they could only see the cards because of a software hack, they had no control over what cards they got or what cards were going to come up

I don't think the proof was attached.. Maybe the firewall blocked it, could you try to attach it again?
