Ongoing Cash Games

I just have been thinking, but it would be nice to play a daily ring game with similar faces that come around often. Where 5 to 7 players at the table are people you have played with in the past, and that leaves a few others for new randoms coming to the table.

I think it would lead to some good friendly competition, actually more than a few hours to learn how a person plays (it's obviously harder online), and somewhere to have to go play a good ring game.

Just wanted to put this out here and see what some people think. I personally play Bodog (so low on money right now though), but I have a feeling most people play PokerStars or Full Tilt Poker. I wouldn't care where it would be though. I would think something like .25/.5, .5/1, 1/2 NLHE games.

If we could get a decent group going, we could spring it off to each poker site and different limits and games.

We have a "get a game going" thread - so when you want to try it start it there. It is hard to do in bodog because there is no player search function. Most of us play in pokerstars or fulltilt - but there are a few of us who play some in bodog.

What stakes are you wanting to play? You can usually find lots of familiar faces willing to play at $25 & 50 max in the "get a gamr going" section.

Not a lot of Bodog rings get started but we've had some decent games before. I need to get a little more money before I play a ring game.

I hear ya. I am dead broke right now actually. In my poker account, not bank account. I have deposited too much lately (only $20 at a time) and my father kind of cut me off saying, DO NOT USE ANYMORE $$. So I am giving it a break, working on freerolls daily and see if I can get anything going.

I would usually play $10 or $25 max NL cash game depending on bankroll. If i get to $100 then i usually step up to the $25 max.

It's crazy how many up and downs I have. Go from $20 to $150+, buy in for too expensive tournies and sit n gos, and go so far back down. I guess it is tilt. I've done it for too long, and that is why I am not depositing right now. Hopefully I can cash in a freeroll and be able to go up slowly being thankful I have some kind of money in my account.

It's not tilt, it's variance. You are simply playing too high and can't withstand any fluctuation.

Yea, I have read that. My situation is more like this. I play Bodog, $10 max cash games... get up about to $30 in a session. Get out, and say I join another... $10 max. I end up losing it, and I get frusturated with myself, even though I know ring games give me the most of my profit and I go to play $4 beg. or $5 sit n gos and get sucked out on or just am not playing as good. Or the $7.50 MTT $3.5K Guarenteed tourny.

I need to just stick to my ring game and keep grinding it out, I can take a loss, my bankroll can, and I need to just keep playing.
