Newbie question - raked hands?

OK, so I feel like a total dunce asking this, but here goes....

In order to activate my bonus $$ at Party Poker I need to play X number of raked hands. How do I tell if I'm playing a raked hand? Are all ring games raked, or do I need to select something special?

PartyParty Poker is probably the best known online poker room. Use the Party Poker bonus code CC150 for a 30% upto $150 deposit bonus.

PokerStarsPokerStars is one of the best poker sites on the internet. They accept US players and using PokerStars marketing code CARDSCHAT you get a $75 bonus.

A raked hand at Party is defined as any hand that you are dealt cards (regardless of whether or not you see the flop) where the pot reaches the minimum amount to be raked. The rake is the small percentage of the pot that the house takes for itself (usually capped at $3.oo) after the completion of the hand.

If I am not mistaken, the easiest way to complete this is at the 1/2 limit tables due to the fact that the micros don't qualify for rake. I could be wrong though. Check with Party's live support and explain to them what you're trying to do and someone will gladly tell you how to complete your raked hands at a minimal risk to your initial bonus. Just make sure you don't mention anything dumb, like you're in a hurry to do it so you can withdrawl your funds and deposit them on Stars, lol.

BTW: I am totally disappointed that my 1000th post wasn't a flame...

Thanks diablo!

And I'm sure you can turn that non-flame 1000th post thing around... come on, chastise me for something.
