The new Noble Noble poker updated itself tonight and I'm not sure I care much for the new look. If anything, it appears that it has even slowed down some. I liked the old Noble as it had a clean & simple look to it and now it looks like the rest of the sites. Damn, if it ain't broke don't fix it. BTW, the cards sucked all night there as well. Played a $10 Freezeout and I had a duece (usually with a 6,7, or 8) in nearly every hand. I think I played a total of about 3 hands before I had to go in or get blinded out...

WOW!! They seriously stripped the software down! No more 3D view... Good thing is the software is ALOT faster! Plus it is brighter.... hmmm after I play it some more I might change my mind but they fixed the number 1 problem which was how laggy the old software was!

I really don't like it. I liked the old nobel with the first person view, this birds eye view is just like the 100 poker sites. It's not unique anymore.

Agree with you but... Hi all, Yes I agree that the new look isn't too cool, I prefer the old look but for me the main problem has been rectified with this new upgade, for me I don't get timed out or disconnects which was a real pain for me before, not sure why they couldn't just upgrade the old version but they must have their reasons. It was mentioned in the email that the new look was based on what the players requested etc... At the end of the day if it plays faster with less connectivity problems then the look takes second place for me anyway, I will miss the old look though. Plus there is too many cowboy avatars there, can you really get into a real poker room dressed like that??? And have you noticed they don't have any real look avatars, no fat people, no beer bellied 42yr olds, all the avatars look slim, fit and good looking, that ain't very life-like is it?? And they stereotype the woman, i've only seen one woman avatar and she's blond. Hey it's ok i'm not going to complain to Noble, just wanted to write some extra to make the post look good, lol Good luck Tony ( The Webmaster )

| re: The new Noble poker Don't like it at all!!! They got it right when they switched from all green background to the tan but this new look makes it as hard to find stuff as when it was all green! They even asked me to change my nickname. F-that! luckily they didn't hold me to it. Just looked at the table and the room is ugly now. Not sure Noble did the right thing by changing the look. | I'm not blown away by the look of the poker room, but I always played using the simple overhead view with no avatars anyway, so it's not a big transition for me. Just pretty cheesy-looking. Would have preferred some skin options for the background so I could remove that hideous rug. I like some of the functional improvements, though. Especially the ability to access the Cashier from the table, which was not possible before. They've also stopped splitting active playing money out from your bankroll total on the lobby screen. If you were playing multiple tables before, and wanted to know what your roll looked like, you had to add up the table totals and combine that with the lobby total to come up with your true total. Now, you can just look at the lobby for one total. Overall, game play is much crisper. And they seem to have eliminated the ongoing problem from the last several weeks involving moving from waiting lists to tables. Still, a lot left to do to bring Noble up to the same level as Ultimate Bet or Full Tilt in terms of software and playing environment. |

Just played 1st time - $10 SnG. Had 6 hands. 3 of which were QQ, twice went all in (against A7 and KJ) lost em both, and crashed out. Big hmmmmmmm!? Logged off Noble, went to Betfred (same ipoker network). 1st 4 hands, 3 pairs of 3's. Can that be legit, 6 pairs in 10 hands (all q's and 3's)? I've played tournaments, and not had pair in hour and a half. Last edited by robwhufc : 16th July 2005 at 2:40 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

At this point I am just glad I can get it to run at all. It refused to work on my home XP system. It would lock up before the room would load. At least now it runs. Maybe on the next update they will be able to add back the 3-d part. Hopefully with out slowing things down to much. Had same problem with CD. Hopefully I can get that working too. I have a nice freeroll win there and would like to play some an build me a nice bankroll.

noble Sorry i do not like the new noble. You have noble, betfred and fair poker people playing with you at the same time. I was in a omaha game this week and had this guy raising the pot all the time even if he had a bad hand. One of the players asked him why he was doing this. He said he had to raise the pot up each time so a rake was taking out on each hand, so he could get closer to get his bouns money,( he was playing at betfred and I was playing at noble and we were at the same table). With the old noble there was only 300 people at the site now there is over 1000, and there are not enofte rooms onpen up to play the room that you want, so you have to wait till the game opens up that you want to play in.
