New lobby skin? Pokerstars

Is is just me, or is the new black colored lobby theme for Pokerstars new? I like it better than the original.

It's a beta, it doesn't automatically install itself but it is under themes. I also must say I like it

I like it. The other lobby skin and the default table skin are beyond ugly...

Sweet, I like the new one it's way nicer looking than the default one.

Only thing i didnt like about PokerStars was that anoying old skin.

I've been waiting for a change. it was terrible, guess i'll go with azure for now, dmorris, no good match.

ummmm....its alright, although its better than the old one, I think it could be better and I guess I'm the first to say that......and the color scheme.....Bodog lol

Thats how bad the old one was... a decent one causes excitement.

I've been playing with Azure since I started. I need to look into skinning the tables myself I guess, maybe I can come up with a close approximation of the black lobby theme.

I just changed to the HyperSimple theme and replaced the blue background with a gradient black, similar to the lobby background. Took about 10 seconds to do and is a decent compromise until I can do better.

Yeah that'll work. See you changed those ugly cards on HyperSimple too.

i just downloaded my own skins. gives me somethin different to look at besides the bland pokerstars skins. blech!

I've never tried changing my themes before. Now that I have the table seems less distracting with the right theme. Its weird but I can focus more if the background isn't so busy.

I love the new lobby. Long overdue. Haven't decided on a theme yet, but I do like the black design.

BTW I love the new black lobby, but unfortunately I can't use it as my auto register script doesnt work with it for my cash tables .

Yes kudos on the updated lobby - holy heck that other one was tiring. Yes there could be more improvements but hey, it's a start.

Try the saloon skin for your tables, it's cool.

All I did was replace the background with a gradient I created. There is a Background button in the Themes selection dialog box, if you choose the HyperSimple theme you can click that Background button and select a background image. I used graphics software to create the gradient (I use Gimp, you can use Photoshop, Paint.NET, or whatever) in the same size and format (.bmp) as one of the stock Stars background images (bg.bmp).

I had started to work on a real theme to match the lobby, including the glossy black & red buttons and such, but it was going to be time consuming with all the little graphics fragments required, and with no real documentation I could find other than a brief writeup on the web. Then I found this theme on 2+2 that came close enough to satisfy me until I have the time or inclination to build my own theme from scratch. By then somebody else may have beat me to it anyway.
