They are pretty good except late reg, that annoys me. I like the new avatars and I like the betting slider option, I like mine.

Didn't notice the late registration thing (mostly a SnG player, hasn't really affected me yet) and the bet slider changes don't really affect me either (bet with my keypad pretty much all the time).

The new penguin avatar is full of win though

how long does the late registration last? i haven't even noticed it yet but to me it seems kind of unfair.

I got the new James bond looking guy avatar.

New bet slider is a good improvement, but I feel like the mouse scrolling can get me into trouble, so turned it off.

My settings for the bet slider are exponential, with big blind increases. Might change it around though. What are you guys using?

re: New Changes on Full Tilt poker

I am ok with late registration, I just wonder how long you can wait to register and are you docked any chips when you register late?

I have my avatars turned off because I find them distracting. I did however change mine to the James Bond character. I think some people play you differently based on your avatar.

I don't use the bet slider. I like to type in my bet amount.

FT just has too many Turbos. Their blind levels are very fast. Even their big tourneys have only 12 minutes. For a field of 1000 and over you need more time. On PS even micros are at 15 minutes. Its obvious to get a quicker rollover.

I like the new avatars and I HATE the late registration..lol....that could like suddenly change the payout to more people and I usually want that to be a certain number..

Meh, I think all the avatars are kind of lame.

Not wild about the late reg either. A tournament I played earlier had fewer than 100 participants when I signed up (just as the late reg period started), but over 250 when registration closed. It sure makes the number of opponents you can expect to face less of a known quantity.

I left the bet slider the way it was, but might play around with that some.

I don't see much difference except that now the text for the amount to be in the slider is much smaller than before so it makes it a little difficult to tell how much you are going to bet. I'm on a Mac so that might make a difference. the slider is a little better in that the different levels are now marked.

The new avatars are cool and the late registration doesn't really bother me but the new slider option is a perfect addition and I am really happy that they added it.

Depends on where you play and the poker room's rules.

Where I play most of the time you cannot 'late' register' but if there are more players than seats before the start time, they take the extras as 'alternates' and are placed at open seats as soon as one of the original players go out, until the first blind change. After that, alternates cannot be seated and they do not pay the buy-in.

Late reg

The late registration period is way too long . Wouldn't be bad if it was 5 min. I entered a tourney Late with 150 people 30 places paid . All of sudden it was 250 paying 40. Waaayy different.

The updates took way too long. The avatars are cool, the sliding bar really didn't make that much of a differance to me, and the late registration, depends on how many wild players there are. If you have quite a few wild players and they have 4 or 5 times starting chips, by the time you enter the tourney, its not good. The higher payouts are good.

As nevadanick has pointed out, this varies depending on the casino and the event.

WSOP events allow buy-ins up to the end of the third level, from memory (unless the event is already full or something).

The late registration I don't care for. Prior to registering I like to take a look at the number of entrants and the payout structure to calculate my odds, then register. This feature takes away that ability.

I know I could register late myself, but there are some loose plays at the beginning of the tournament that I may be able to take advantage of. I don't like coming into a tournament late.

The thing I always disliked about the tourneys on the Cake network was the late reg...oh well.

As for the new bet slider and keys, is that like having AHK built into the software? That would be cool.

Full tilt is my favorite site. I like the feel and flow of gameplay, That just maybe because I started on that site and spend most of my time there. The update was almost 5 hours but included routine maintenance. I agree way too long. I also think the slider was a great touch. The late registration doesnt bother me either because I always seem to just miss the registraion cuz I am viewing posts LOL

On Full Tilts site it says that late reg. is open till all the left over "reserved" extra seats are full or until the end of the first blind level. They also say that you start with a full chipstack and have to wait till your big blind to be dealt in, hope that answered your questions.

Full tilt is my preferred site

The slider was my only problem before I was always timing out when I was trying to get it on 2 or 3 x the big blind on tourneys

now that its fixed I feel that I can concentrate more on the game

I hate late registration. On fast PC it runs OK but on my "old school laptop" The new features make FT lockup and slow down more than it usually does.

yes i noticed a few changes on tilt recently. the thing that gets on my tits is the late registration thingy. why have they done this. it just means u dont have a fkin clue how many players are gonna enter it, and i like to have an idea before i post my money through, and the fact that i couldnt sign in tilt for a full day because of site updates was pretty annoying to say the least, and i could understand it if they did any decent changes to it but i dont see any positve one as yet, really!!

re: New Changes on Full Tilt poker

I think the changes are nice and everything... However I'm more impressed with the replay feature at Stars and I while I love my Full Tilt I'm also disapointed with the quality of the server they use how about putting a little time into holding the capacity of your network a little bit better. Is it me or has it been a problem with any tournament you may be playing on that network while they have big tourneys like F-Tops? I get really bad lag during those times... Sometimes to the point of my hand being folded.... at first I thought it was my cpu but i realized that it only happens when there is a huge tourney that I'm railing at the same time....
Sorry if I got off topic I just needed to vent....

agree

i hate the late reg too....alternates and late reg is annopying to me because i dont like the idea that someone can come in to a tourney with 1500 chips after i already started and may be down to 900 chips....it is kinda crappy....maybe it wont stay...is their a way for us to veto?....lol....power to the people....lets boycott.
