| My First Live Tournament One of my 2007 poker goals was to play in a live tournament. After six weeks of finally waiting for a day off with out any commitments, I played in an 80 seat tounament in Aurora, IL. And I took 4th!!! I took home $750.00, buy in was $160.00. Very pleased with the way that I played. I had only two coin flip situations with all-ins and won them both. (10's vs. AKo and AJo, the tens held, and A7s vs. AKo, flopped A7. With the 10's, to call was only $400 more than the blind. And the A7s, I was short-stacked on the table.) Once the table got down to the final table, there were alot of all-ins almost every other hand. It was a really great experience and I am happy that I did it. Even if I wouldn't have placed in the money, I know that today was the best that I have ever played. (But it felt great to place in the money!!! ) TKO |

| Cool story, I have never played in a live tournament before. My first tournament ever was on Bodog and it costs $2 to enter. 259 people entered and through some act of god, I actually won. I got $134 for winning! Since then I have been playing the freeroll tournament bodog offers every night, and have yet to finish better than 208/4000 people, with most days finishing in the 400-500 range. Just shows there must be a lot of luck in poker. |
