My first live placing
Wooo i came 9th.
started out with about 50 people with rebuys, meaning no one goes out until the rebuys end, 2 hours after the start. I was the lowest when there were 11 left and the top ten recieve prizes. I had around 4k and average was around 50k. luckily two guys went all in and i reached the final table. Some guy got destroyed (his trip 6s beat by trip 10s) and had 1k left. He went all in, i went all in, and anothe rguy did - he won. I had more than the 1k guy so got 9th. I won £40 (around $70) although i bought in twice so i paid £30 (just over $50). Minus taxi fair, im around even now. An honour to place tho  |

Congrats on placing! Nice job, and just about breaking even after taxi fare isn't half bad.

nice 1 the only way is up. i just played a tourney it was also a £30 rebuy but with only a field of 27 players igot bubbled in 6 after a bad beat from a bad player who went on to win. i held KQ in s/b i raise and 2 called, flop dropped KJ6 off so i raised to 1200 guy behind went all in for 2500 which was then called by the button (who by the way was a complete fish, what i would do to get him in a cash game lol) i knew i had him beat but so i went all in for 9000 or so. he sat there going i know you have the king so at this point i was pretty pleased, he called which was 3/4 of his stack, the allin had KT happy with that, the fish had, get this J8 off. turn came Q givin me 2 pair then boom the river came J and im out what a joke. oh well done to you.

Congrats on placing!!! I know those rebuy tournaments can be brutal. Good luck in your next one.

The good thing for me is that im a cheapass. I only bought in twice compared to the crazy poker junkees who buy in tons of times. The funny thing is, after i went out after my first rebuy, i went to leave.
I suddenly changed my mind and im glad i did. xace100 - the reason i was doing the worst when there was 11 left was b/c i also suffered a bad beat. I had AQs and he had Q10os. On the turn he hit a ten leavin me with a tiny amout of chips. luckily after i hit some good hands -i also didnt add on like most of the others |
