| My Dilemma I've bounced around between a few poker rooms and I just can't seem to stay settled. I'm on a mac so my choice in rooms is definitely limited. I recently cashed out at bodog, and I liked bodog but as a mac user I could only player 1 table at a time. I was on full tilt earlier, ran up my bankroll to 850 but then it plummeted to 300 and I cashed out from my original investment of 100. I'm a little scared to go back. I've been playing around at UB and it seems okay, but I'm a little hesitant about sending my bodog bankroll over there (the one I recently cashed out on.) I've also had some trouble depositing on Stars and I've heard it's a lot of grinders so I'm not thrilled to started there. Is it really worth buying a windows to get to those smaller, softer sites? Then there's the whole issue of poker software on smaller sites...Any suggestions? |

| What are your objectives in playing poker??? IMHO the impression I get from your post is that poker is all about $$$ to you so you should play where you THINK you have an advantage and feel comfortable, which means you'll be switching sites a lot as you'll start feeling uncomfortable during your downswings. So get a Windows system so that you can move at ease between sites. |

| re: My Dilemma poker My objective is making money. I view depositing $$$ in a poker site as an investment and I want to get it in as good as I can. I want to go to where I have the best edge. I've been considering buying a windows, but I really wouldn't use it for anything besides poker and it's probably gonna cost something like...700-800? I'm pretty unfamiliar with windows since I've always worked on a mac. |

Why not just go out & buy a laptop strictly for poker? Here you can pick up great deals on laptops (ie. for $700 you could get Dell 17" 4GB Ram, etc.). I've recently purchased 16" HP 3GB Ram for less than $500, have seen an Acer 15" 2GB Ram for $449. (I use 3 latops for playing, 17,16 & 15 at same time, lol). I'd get set up to play... ie. good chair!!!.. & a wireless numeric keypad. |

All depends on what level you want to take your online game. A system that can handle 24 games across 3 36" monitors with blazing fast HUD, AHK, DB & whatnots will cost a lot different than one to play 1-2 games at a time w/o any add-ons. |
