Miserable morning

Playing the 1/2 rings at Noble this morning and I have never seen the cards fall so bad. An example, have A-K suited, flop A-K-4 rainbow, turn 3, river 3, lost to 2-3 off, not in either blind. Dropped $40 on hands like this all morning. Would be best pre-flop, best post flop, and lose at river nearly every time. Thank God I wasn't playing NL as there's no telling how much I'd be down. Might withdraw from this afternoons but-in as I don't think me and Noble are compatible today...

not going well this morning huh,it will get better,if i were you i would play in todays buy-in, BUT if the cards dont go your way i would not re-buy, that happened to me one day but i was to stupid to realise it wasnt my day and i rebought 3 or 4 times and added on at the break, ended up costing me over 20 bucks that day, stupid move on my part, the cards just got worse, now if the cards arent there im gone or maybe just one buy-in but thats it. In your other post about quiting poker and taking up shuffleboard cause your old, LOL, your only 50 thats not old, im 60 and i got 40 more years of poker in me, LOL. gl if you play today, maybe the cards will change for you by this afternoon.

Happens to us all... lost 3 successive hands this morning, JJ to Q9 which rivered trip 9s, AK to K2s which rivered a flush, and AA to 77 which flopped a set. Luckily I took a break and made it all back within a couple of hours - highlights including my AK flopping Broadway (with no flush draws/possible boats developing - I had the nuts the whole way through) and some donkey capping every betting round with 98 (I can see him now jumping up and down... "OMG I HAVE A STRAIGHT!!1!~").

I feel like I'm on some crazy luck rollercoaster.

Unless the guy in the example was a complete donkey you could have pushed him off the hand in NL pretty easily I'd hope.

Edit: Oh wait, he's calling pf raises with 23o, I guess you would have lost more in NL. >_>

Well Buck, it would be hard for them to get any worse. The example above was just the worst, there were over a dozen nearly that bad. Folks had 6-8 bucks in the pot on a 1 outer and were catching every time - never saw this in my life. On hands I wasn't in on, ace or king high was winning. If I play today, NO rebuys...

Sounds like your on the beginning of a cold streak, just hope it changes real fast, them cold streaks really hurt, i hope it passes real quick for you, as you know it will pass, the problem is when and how long it takes. good luck in todays game Dave, maybe the bad luck will be over by 4 oclock when we start the game.>>buckster436

I unfortunatelly know EXACTLY how you feel Dave same exact thing has been going on for me on the Party network for 6 weeks, and that is playing everyday although everyday I spend les and less time playing there. Same exact thing has happened at Noble poker for me that is happening to you, it just takes sooooo long to recover from even 1 suckout loss you are almost better to just quit and play later. Although my man Skylanski preaches that if you are the best player at a table NEVER leave it under any circumstances until someone better sits down.

The only bright spot of the morning is that I did not tilt at all. Took all the whippins in stride and continued to play a solid game. Played premium hands hard, folded when I didn't improve, and didn't go fishing even once. Didn't matter as I came out second best on every showdown. I don't do this to get rich but when you can't even win a small percentage of the hands you should win it's very discouraging. May see you all this afternoon, probably not...

I was doing real good then i got As 10h three hearts came on the flop 2 4 3 all hearts then came an 10 clubs, then the river was an A hearts, so i ahd a flush A 10 high. the only cards that could beat me were J Q K or 5 of hearts, well the other person had the 5 of hearts and got me with the straight flush A 2 3 4 5 hearts. oh well thats poker, ill just keep on truckin along <>>>>>>>>>>buckster436

Some Days Are just made for fishing I guess

Well, AK suited the flop hits lows, all different suit. I get a boat on a flop, monkey across the way gets bigger boat. Naturally on the river. I quit for the day.
I think I'm gonna get my boat, a sixpack of beer, and a case of dynamite and go fishing.

Wow Dave,

That sounds like me whoel day yesterday. I played 6 tournies. I was knocked out of all of them empty handed. Not on in the money finish. That is like a record for me I think. 2 of them were private freerolls. Only one of the losses was against a better hand preflop. Last one was AAJ10 in an omaha high game. 3 other people in the hand and I came in third. It was a pitiful day. I think maybe I am going to take the day off from playing tournies.
